A living sacrifice

"I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service." Romans 12.1
The new converts lived an unholy life because of the idolatry reigning in Rome. By the Holy Spirit, Paul exhorts them to sacrifice their immoralities in the form of a spiritual worship pleasing to God. This is the faith that pleases God and ensures the salvation of the soul.

Sincere conversion

"For thus says the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel: 'In returning and rest you shall be saved; in quietness and confidence shall be your strength...'” Isaiah 30.15
Sin does not allow the heart to settle down. Only sincere conversion brings inner peace. Peace with yourself and especially with the Spirit of God. It is the tranquility that money, the glory or the power of this world cannot give. This is the force that keeps the confidence of salvation renewed.

CONVERSION

"...if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land."     2 Chronicles 7.14
God's blessings come with one condition: conversion. Mankind must leave behind his evil ways. In other words, those who steal, no longer steal; those who are promiscuous, will no longer do so; those who lie, no longer lie; etc. You must immediately abandon sin.
To sum it all up, those who want the attention of the Spirit of God must obey His word.

CONFIDENCE

"For thus says the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel: 'In returning and rest you shall be saved; in quietness and confidence shall be your strength.' But you would not..."   Isaiah 30:15
When you turn away from evil, you move toward inner peace.  But our strength comes from the tranquility and confidence found in the Word of the God of Abraham, Isaac and Israel.

Longsuffering

"But You, O Lord, are a God full of compassion, and gracious, longsuffering and abundant in mercy and truth." Psalms 86:15
When there's sincere conversion, the one can see God's glory in one's life.

IF

"If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land." 2 Chronicles 7:14

IF the people of God humble themselves, pray, seek His face and turn away from their wrong ways, THEN they will be heard and forgiven. This is the condition so that God may hear your cry. Humbling yourself means emptying yourself completely. Praying means talking to God and seeking His face relates to getting closer to Him. And finally, conversion means changing of attitude in concerning sin, in other words, abandoning it for good.
