BY FAITH

"Now the just shall live by faith; but if anyone draws back, My soul has no pleasure in him."    Hebrews 10:38

First of all, no one is just. But when a sinner becomes DEPENDENT on the Lord, there is faith. This faith is exactly what makes him just, pure and godly to come before Him. 
But, if the just, pure and godly person stops being dependent on Him, then there will no longer be faith.
As a consequence, he will go back to being a lost sinner.

Last days

"Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons…" I Timothy 4.1

As in the example of Lord Jesus, the Holy Spirit also warns that in the last days, due to obeying the antiholy spirits and their demonic doctrines, some will abandon the pure and simple faith. Hence the reason many spin like spinning tops and are thrown to the ground in a violent manner. The exterior of their lives show the hell that goes on inside them.
