Preserving

"But may the God of all grace, who called us[b] to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you."1 Peter 5: 10

The affliction that takes a person to seek God and drink from the Living Waters, makes her happy, secure, and with the right attitude to keep the faith.

Fear

"There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love."

1 John 4: 18

Those who know God live by faith, they have assurance that His eyes are upon their lives, there's no fear, for they feel secured in God's love.

The root

"A man is not established by wickedness, but the root of the righteous cannot be moved." Proverbs 12:3

The human being looks for ways to feel secure, to the point of even doing what's wrong. But those who live by faith, have the Lord as their eternal Rock. They will always be secure and no one will ever touch them.

Covered

"He will cover you with His feathers and under His wings you will find refuge. His truth is your shield and armour." Psalm 91:4


It is very interesting to see how birds protect their young: they put them on their feet and cover them with their wings; in this way they not only protect them from predators but also from the cold. 


The Psalmist compares this special care of birds, with that of God the Father towards His children. Whoever has the privilege of being a child of God, can be certain of the glorious care of the Eternal Father.
