"For we have no power against this great multitude that is coming against us; nor do we know what to do, but our eyes are upon You.” 2 Chronicles 20.12As much as our problems may seem serious, urgent and insoluble, the Altar is the place where you can reach the answer. In the prayer of Jehoshaphat we find the humility that moves the Almighty and brings an immediate answer.

Rest on the Altar
"And seeing the multitudes, He went up on a mountain, and when He was seated His disciples came to Him. Then He opened His mouth and taught them..." Matthew 5.1-2The Lord Jesus used to take time to be alone with the Father when He went up the mountains, which can also be understood as the 'Altar'. And even in those precious moments, He did not refrain from doing the work He came to do. As soon as the disciples would approach Him, He began to teach them. This is the life of those who live on the Altar - even in times of rest and reflection, they serve those who need them.

TAKEN TO THE MOUNTAIN
"Oh, send out Your light and Your truth! Let them lead me; let them bring me to Your holy hill and to Your tabernacle."Psalm 43:3Only those who are enlightened by the Light of the Gospel find joy in offering their lives on the Altar of God, persevere in practicing His Word and use an intelligent faith.

Gold
Fools and blind! For which is greater, the gold or the temple that sanctifies[a] the gold? Mathew 23.17
The Lord asked the hypocrites but why?
Because they considered the offering more important than the Altar, which was the one that sanctified it. Unfortunately, this has been the attitude of many spiritually weak and sick Christian... in fact, some have even died. They were more attentive to what they left on the Altar than Who was receiving their offerings.

Pleasing sacrifices
"The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, a broken and a contrite heart—These, O God, You will not despise." Psalms 51:17
Surrendering your life on the Altar without any reservations and with all your strength, heart, and understanding makes the answer of God come immediately. This is the kind of sacrifice that is most pleasant to Him, which also attracts the Spirit of God.

Much Joy
"Then I will go to the altar of God, to God my exceeding joy..." Psalms 43:4
The Altar is a place of offering of sacrifices and also a place to receive the Spirit of Joy, much joy!

Fire
"And the fire on the altar shall be kept burning on it; it shall not be put out. And the priest shall burn wood on it every morning, and lay the burnt offering in order on it; and he shall burn on it the fat of the peace offerings."
Leviticus 6:12
White there's sacrifice on the Altar, there's the Fire of the Holy Spirit consuming it... but when there's lack of sacrifice, what can be consumed?

Beautiful feet
"How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who proclaims peace, who brings glad tidings of good things, who proclaims salvation..."
Isaiah 52:7
Those who preach salvation are the Apple of God's Eyes. They benefit from all the blessings of the Altar, the Throne of God.
