"Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us..." Hebrews 12:1There is only one way to get rid of the weight of sin: through confession to the Lord Jesus and immediate abandonment of that sin. Sin is a spirit. You will continue to be enslaved by it until you're delivered. Time won't solve this problem. Instead, the more time that passes, the heavier sin becomes, because others sins are added on to it.
Therefore, get rid of it immediately.
