"And behold, a leper came and worshiped Him, saying, 'Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.” Matthew 8.2Contrary to what suffering religious people and people in general have believed, the LORD God, through His Son Jesus, has shown that the source of fresh water cannot flow bitter water too. The leper thought so, so he said "if you are willing." But God always wants the best for everyone.

Who wants to drink?
“The poor and needy seek water, but there is none, their tongues fail for thirst. I, the LORD, will hear them; I, the God of Israel, will not forsake them." Isaiah 41.17
The faith that pleases God is the certainty that He will do what He promised and taking action. Unfortunately, most Christians have not seen the manifestation of God's power because they expect to "feel the faith" and only then take action. That is, they want to see in order to believe. So, they cannot take possession of the Biblical promises.
The ancient heroes of faith believed, acted out on their belief and then saw the fulfillment of God's Word.

New Israel
“But you, Israel, are My servant, Jacob whom I have chosen,The descendants of Abraham My friend.9 You whom I have taken from the ends of the earth, and called from its farthest regions, and said to you,‘You are My servant, I have chosen you and have not cast you away:10 Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’" Isaiah 41.8-10
Only those who are born of the water and of the Spirit realize that such promises relate to them. It is that same Spirit who testifies within them. They are the New Israel raised by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Because of that, come what may, they withstand: they were chosen from the ends of the earth to make a difference in this evil world. There is nothing to fear when we live by faith.

Sandalwood tree
“How lovely are your tents, O Jacob! Your dwellings, O Israel! Like valleys that stretch out, like gardens by the riverside, like aloes planted by the Lord,Like cedars beside the waters." Numbers 24.5-6When the Holy Spirit makes His dwelling in the human heart, there is no way for sorrows, disappointments, annoyances and other evils remain. Instead, the person is like sandalwood tree (tree whose wood is fragrant) that the Lord has planted, like cedars beside the waters. That is, they become the perfume of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Living Water
"But whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.” John 4.14The water that Jesus gives is invisible, imperceptible and untouchable. But when someone drinks it, everyone notices the difference. The blessed one becomes a visible, tangible and touchable wellspring for the rest of his life.

THE THIRSTY
"For I will pour water on him who is thirsty, and floods on the dry ground; I will pour My Spirit on your descendants, and My blessing on your offspring." Isaiah 44:3The wonderful Divine promises are not meant for curious or adventurous people. Nor are they for those who believe in luck or obtaining them without much of an effort. They are meant exclusively for those who are thirsty for God's Spirit. The invitation has been given to everyone. But only the thirsty have the right and privilege of receiving His blessing.

My Spirit
"For I will pour water on him who is thirsty, and floods on the dry ground; I will pour My Spirit on your descendants, and My blessing on your offspring." Isaiah 44:3
When the hungry and thirsty for justice is possessed by the Holy Spirit, his whole life changes. If he remains faithful, sooner or later, his family will also be blessed.

Drink of the water
"...but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.” John 4:14
The water represents the thoughts of God. To drink from it is to drink from the Holy Spirit. It's from then on that we become a fountain of eternal life.

Bread
"But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God." Matthew 4:4
The Lord Jesus is the Verb in action, the Bread of Life, the Living Water that gives life to those who surrender themselves to Him. Through His Name, His Word, and His Spirit, there are no barriers for those who believe, for nothing is impossible!

Famine
"Behold, days are coming," declares the Lord GOD, "When I will send a famine on the land, Not a famine for bread or a thirst for water, But rather for hearing the words of the LORD."
Amos 8:11
The lack of fear of the Lord is growing because unbelief has been contaminating many generations, and consequently, bringing all sorts of evil. God does not send evil: it is already in the world to destroy those who belong to it.
