Fear

"For all those things has my hand made, and all those things have been, said the Lord: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembles at my word." Isaiah 66:2

In this world many go through pain, suffering and injustice; their spirit is downcast, humiliated and broken and they are sinking to the bottom of the pit. The sorrowful life that they lead causes them to look up and shout for help. It is then that they see God's tender gaze and His Hands outstretched, ready to rescue them.

Then, after showing them His love and pulling them out of their agony, He only requires one thing from them: to keep His Word and His Discipline. If they refuse to abide by this obedience then God will no longer protect their lives.

God's Dwelling Place

Thus says the Lord: "Heaven is My throne, and the earth is My footstool: where then is a house you could build for me? And where is a place that I may rest?" Isaiah 66:1

The Holy Spirit came to guide us and also to be our necessary strength during tribulation. When we are filled with the Spirit of Jesus, we have the capacity to face any situation that arises.

We were built to be His dwelling place: He wants to walk with our feet, hear with our ears and speak to and console people with our mouth.

This verse (besides revealing the GREATNESS OF GOD), explains that we are His feet here on Earth; to reach those who are lost through their vices and sin.
