"...while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal." 2 Corinthians 4:18The difference in those who are born of the Spirit is in the way they see things. Those who are spiritual see things spiritually, therefore, they look towards what is eternal. However, those who are not spiritual can only see what is temporary.
The Holy Spirit warns us not to pay attention or give importance to what is temporary, but to what is eternal. That is pure faith.
