IMAGE OF THE CREATOR

"And have put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him."    Colossians 3:10
The new birth gives the children of God a new life.  As much as you may prophesy about it, it still remains difficult for those who haven't been born of the Spirit to understand.
Knowledgeable and enlightened minds, and above all, being according to the image of God the Father. The children of God see and think according to Him.

Forget

"Because you would forget your misery, and remember it as waters that have passed away..." Job 11:16

When there's a personal experience with the Lord Jesus Christ, there's joy in the present and assurance of the future which makes it easy to let go of the past.

Being One

"That they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me.." John 17:21

From the first day of a person's new birth, the child of God becomes one with God. He acquires His character, thinks like Him, and desires what He desires. Thus the reason his sole purpose is to save souls.

Soul vs Spirit

"And so it is written, “The first man Adam became a living being.”[a] The last Adam became a life-giving spirit." 1 Corinthians 15:45

Man comes to this world as a living being but when he's born of the Holy Spirit, he becomes life-giving spirit. When he's baptised with the Holy Spirit, He's stamped with a Divine Seal.

The Power

"But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name..."John 1:12

Many people have sacrificed in order to have, but, only those who sacrifice to have the Holy Spirit received power to become Children of God. What's better: receive power to have or be filled to be of God?

My Son

"Then a voice came from heaven, “You are My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased."

Mark 1:11

The Holy Trinity was identified through the baptism of the Lord Jesus. In that moment, the Holy Spirit came in the form of a dove, and landed on His head. The same happens today with those who are born of God. They're involved by the Spirit of God and then made into Children of God.

Begotten

"The LORD has said to Me, ‘You are My Son, today I have begotten You."
Psalms 2:7
The belief in God involves much more than a simple belief in His existence. What's the use of believing if one doesn't have a relationship with Him? This is only possible when one is born of His Spirit. Only then will He call him His son.

Emptiness of soul

"The poor shall eat and be satisfied; those who seek Him will praise the LORD. Let your heart live forever! ."
Psalms 22: 26

Emptiness of the heart can only be filled with the joy of the new birth. It's the exclusive work of the Holy Spirit, nevertheless, for it to happen, there must be a desire from all your heart, mind, and soul to receive it.

Death

" I will ransom them from the power of the grave; I will redeem them from death. O Death, I will be your plagues! O Grave,[c] I will be your destruction! Pity is hidden from My eyes.”
Hosea 13:14

Those who are born of God do not fear death. They're not afraid because they have a divine nature. But those who are not born of the Spirit, their nature remains human. For this reason, only the word 'death' is enough to scare them. Much more it's nearness!

Confirmation

"The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God..."

Romans 8.16

Those who are born of God have the most absolute assurance that they're children of God because the Holy Spirit Himself confirms this within them. This is the greatest Christian glory.

Meet

"Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom."
Matthew 25:1

The ten virgens are those washed by the blood of the Lord Jesus. They're travelling towards their Lord, but only half of them actually meet Him. The other half simply stay out.

Corrupt

"The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked; Who can know it?" Jeremiah 17:9

If there's no new birth, there's no solution for the corrupt and deceitful heart -- it'll lead you to eternal death. Even for those of the Christian faith.
