The dew of Mount Hermon

"Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! It is like the precious oil upon the head, running down on the beard, the beard of Aaron, running down on the edge of his garments. It is like the dew of Hermon, descending upon the mountains of Zion; For there the Lord commanded the blessing—Life forevermore." Psalm 133.1-3
Mount Hermon represents the Mount of Consecration. It is the place where the Lord Jesus was transfigured, glorified and consecrated by God the Father before Peter, James and John. The Jordan River is formed from its sources and it supplies all Israel. It also typifies the Holy Spirit, which sustains the New Israel, the Church, worldwide. Led by the Spirit, King David says that is this Mount the Lord commanded His blessing and eternal life.

Rest on the Altar

"And seeing the multitudes, He went up on a mountain, and when He was seated His disciples came to Him. Then He opened His mouth and taught them..." Matthew 5.1-2
The Lord Jesus used to take time to be alone with the Father when He went up the mountains, which can also be understood as the 'Altar'. And even in those precious moments, He did not refrain from doing the work He came to do. As soon as the disciples would approach Him, He began to teach them. This is the life of those who live on the Altar - even in times of rest and reflection, they serve those who need them.

Feast

"You shall have a song as in the night when a holy feast is kept, and gladness of heart, as when one sets out to the sound of the flute to go to the mountain of the LORD, to the Rock of Israel."  Isaiah 30:29

Those who are touched to sacrifice to the Lord will climb, by faith, to the Holy Mountain. They will return again with rejoicing and gladness, to count the blessings conquered in these days of the Campaign of Israel.

Listen

...Jesus took Peter, James, and John, and led them up a high mountain to be alone.
Then a cloud overshadowed them, and a voice from the cloud said, “This is my dearly loved Son. Listen to him." Mark 9:2-7

The disciples had to climb the Mount of Transfiguration to learn how to listen to God's Voice.

Mountain

"In the LORD I take refuge. How can you say to my soul: Flee as a bird to your mountain?" Psalm 11:1

The climb to Mount Sinai has begun. We all have at least one request for the God of Abraham, Isaac and Israel. By faith, we will ascend the Holy Mountain; the Mountain where God transformed millions of slaves into a free and powerful nation. Sacrifice is the shortest distance between wanting and realising your dream. The one who believes goes and conquers his dream.
