The sheep

"My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me." John 10.27

What characterizes the relationship between shepherd and sheep is the shepherd's voice. No sheep from a certain flock follows the voice of a shepherd of another flock.
It was common that several shepherds would gather their respective flocks to drink from the same stream. But once their thirst was quenched, each sheep would follow the voice of their respective pastors.
The followers of the Good Shepherd, hear His voice and follow Him. That is, obey.

Determination

"The Lord of hosts has sworn, saying, 'surely, as I have thought, so it shall come to pass, and as I have purposed, so it shall stand.'" Isaiah 14.24

This thought teaches a secret to those who are loyal, obedient to the voice of faith: the determination in thought.
Yes, all those who are sealed with the Holy Spirit are able to think and determine what they want to happen.

Confidence

"My voice You shall hear in the morning, O Lord; in the morning I will direct it to You, and I will look up. For You are not a God who takes pleasure in wickedness, nor shall evil dwell with You." Psalm 5.3-4

How Great You are, O God!

That bends to hear the voice of the most miserable sinner when he pleads honestly. And if He acts like this with the undeserving, imagine those who walk according to Your righteousness.

ALWAYS

"Let your garments always be white and let your head lack no oil."
    Ecclesiastes 9.8


It is difficult to live in a world that is so entangled in sin and yet maintain your garments white. However, it is not impossible. The secret behind maintaining yourself pure in an impure world is fearing the Lord and obeying His voice. The more sinful you are, the more effective God's power is. 
The Almighty never asks for something that is impossible to do.

THIRSTY HEART

"For the word of God is living and powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit and of joints and marrow and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart."    Hebrews 4:12

When the Holy Spirit finds a heart that is thirsty to know Him, His voice is heard in the person's spirit. From that moment on there is transformation of life.
Usually, the heart is hungry for solutions to circumstantial problems, which makes it difficult to receive His Son and Savior Jesus. 

Personal Property

"Now therefore, if you will indeed obey My voice and keep My covenant, then you shall be a special treasure to Me above all people; for all the earth is Mine." Exodus 19.5

God never expects the impossible because He knows our limitations. To hear His Voice and practice it is a question of obedience. Therefore, we become His Personal Property.

Preserve

" The highway of the upright is to depart from evil; He who keeps his way preserves his soul."

Proverbs 16:17

The world offers many things that keeps humanity away from God, but those who come near Him and listen to His Voice have their salvation guaranteed.

Lock

"Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me."

Revelations 3:20

The only door that opens and closes from inside is the one of the heart. The Lord Jesus is knocking, on the outside, asking to come in. It's not enough just to hear Him. You need to open the door and let Him come in.

Sadness

"How long shall I take counsel in my soul, having sorrow in my heart daily? How long will my enemy be exalted over me?"

Psalms 13: 2

When one goes to the point of recognising his resistance to God's voice, it's already a sign of humbleness. Nevertheless, this alone is not enough. There must be an attitude of seeking God with all his heart, understanding, and strength.

Happiness

"Happy is the man who is always reverent, but he who hardens his heart will fall into calamity."

Proverbs 28:14

To man is given daily the choice of hearing the voice of Good or evil. Those who hear and practice the voice of God fear Him and are protected from evil.

Wake up

"The Lord GOD has given Me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him who is weary. He awakens Me morning by morning, He awakens My ear to hear as the learned."

Isaiah 50:4

It's an extraordinary privilege to hear God's Voice in the morning, just as it is to allow Him to use our tongue as an instrument of blessings to many.
