Constantly

"Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.” Matthew 26.41

These are two things that must be constantly on our minds: watch and pray. They are as important to maintaining a clear conscience, and therefore salvation, as oxygen is  for life.
To watch is to always be careful not to be surprised by temptation, and to pray is to be constantly rebuking evil thoughts, doubts, fears and all evils.
It is better to always be on the watch than to fall.

KEEPING THE FAITH

"By your patience, possess your soul."     Luke 21.19
The devil is persistent. He tries, tries, tries and continues trying to corrupt the heart and conquer the soul. The secret to defeat him is to resist, resist, resist and continue resisting at all cost. It is better to remain in the Kingdom of God without a boyfriend, without a husband, without family and without friends, then it is to have the whole world at your feet and lose your soul.

Rule

"He who is slow to anger is better than the mighty, and he who rules his spirit than he who takes a city."
Proverbs 16: 32

He who resists temptations fights an interior war. As he rules his fleshly desires to please his Lord, he's more honored than war soldiers.

Deliverance

"No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it."
I Corinthians 10.13

Divine justice does not allow us to be tempted beyond our capacity of tolerance. Your fall is a sign of the lack of fear of God.

Own desires

"But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed."
James 1:14

We have been privileged with the 'free will', but it is important to be extremely careful with your eyes, for some things considered 'normal' can easily entice us to sin. Let us watch!

Reject

"Because they hated knowledge and did not choose the fear of the LORD"
Provérbios 1:29

The importance and preference given to material possessions have been the plate of lentils offered successfully by the devil to those who don't fear God. And so they fall into temptation.
