Intelligent faith

"For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not sit down first and count the cost, whether he has enough to finish it?" Luke 14.28

Intelligent faith has nothing to do with excitement, enthusiasm or feelings. Rather, Biblical faith requires the use of the intellect. It weighs, measures and checks that it is 100% in agreement with what he believes. From then, one must throw himself body, soul and spirit. That is, put all strength towards his goal.

Life by faith

"Now the just shall live by faith; but if anyone draws back, my soul has no pleasure in him.” Hebrews 10.38
The cancellation of any and all sin is only possible through faith. Not heartfelt faith, but faith practiced through obedience to the Word of God. The Lord shows this condition as the only way a person can be considered righteous before Him. However, if they go backwards, or turn away from the faith, then there will be no forgiveness, no salvation.

Please!

“Then he said, ‘I beg you therefore, father, that you would send him to my father’s house, for I have five brothers, that he may testify to them, lest they also come to this place of torment.’" Luke 16.27-28
While the living on Earth visit the graves of their dead bringing flowers, lighting candles, attending Masses, offering prayers, etc.., The souls of their dead in hell beg God's servants to warn them on Earth, in order for them not end up at that place of torment.
But the biggest barrier to save them has been their own religions.

Righteousness

"You shall follow what is altogether just, that you may live and inherit the land which the Lord your God is giving you." Deuteronomy 16.20
There is no other way. Whosoever wants to save their soul and inherit the Kingdom of Heaven must walk in righteousness. God is not only Righteous but also He also hates unrighteousness. Any sin, no matter how small, is a clear manifestation of unrighteousness, and they are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. (Galatians 5.19-21)

Conscience

"How forceful are right words! But what does your arguing prove?" Job 6.25
The words of a friend accompanied with Spirit edifies and comforts the soul. However, the conscience must be humble take heed of the Voice of God.

Foolish

“But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand:  and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall.” Matthew 7.26-27

The problems faced by the prudent are similar to those of a fool. The difference is that the prudent is unshakable, stands firm forever, whereas the fool cannot stand it and collapses. Worse: great is his fall. The ruin goes beyond physical loss, but concerns to the loss of his soul.

Rebelliousness vs. Life

"He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.” John 3.36

A marriage only works out when there is surrender of body, soul and spirit. Body mates with body, soul with soul and spirit with spirit.
The belief in God is no different. There must be total surrender of body, soul and spirit. If one of then is lacking, then you lack belief. And if there's no belief, the wrath of God remains.

Fleshly world vs. Spiritual world

"But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His." Romans 8.9

Being in the flesh is to be a prisoner of the heart, to cater to the lusts of the soul and feelings.
Being in the Spirit is to live in the spiritual world, the world of certainty, the conviction and of supernatural faith.
If anyone confesses Jesus as Lord but does not live by faith, he has nothing to do with him.

Exchange

"Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?" Matthew 16.26
If people were aware of the extreme importance of the salvation of the soul, they would invest ALL OF THEIR LIVES in achieving and maintaining it. Such is its importance that the Lord God Himself says:What profit a man if he gain the whole world and lose his own soul?

WHAT IS IT WORTH?

"For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?"    Matthew 16.26
If you try to gain the world, your soul can only take delight in this until you are about 70, or maybe even 80, if you still have the strength. However, most of these years will be of tiresome work and grief, because everything passes quickly.
But what happens when your physical body dies?
What will happen to your soul?
The wise man does not invest his faith in a life with limits.
On the contrary, he gains by investing his wisdom, vision and faith into his eternal life.

SALVATION

"Save me, O God! For the waters have come up to my neck."    Psalm 69.1
If your in a situation that is suffocating your soul, to the point where you are thinking about committing suicide, then know that this is the best opportunity for you to experience the POWER of the Lord Jesus.
Go to a private place RIGHT now and pray the verse above.
Wait for a couple of seconds, wait for the answer...
In the midst of despair, there isn't much you can say other than to cry out: Save me, O God!

GAIN THE WORLD

"For what will it profit a man if gains the whole world and loses his own soul?"Mark 8.36
Winning the lottery along with other people is difficult. Winning the lottery by yourself is even more difficult. Now, winning the world, humanly speaking, is impossible. But even if it were possible, what good would it be when you would only enjoy it for about 100 years?

Jesus suggests we gain eternal salvation.

Who is willing to pay the price?

Who is willing to sacrifice their sad, poor little world for the salvation of their soul for all of eternity?

RESTORE

"Restore to me the joy of Your salvation, and uphold me by Your generous Spirit."    Psalm 51.12
The biggest and most difficult thing to attain in this world is the salvation of the soul. Jesus compared it to a hidden treasure buried in a field, and when someone finds it, they are willing to sell EVERYTHING THEY OWN to buy that field. However, it is even harder to get back the joy of salvation after it has been lost. If you, dear reader, doubt this is true, just ask anyone who has been through a similar experience.

SHADOW OF YOUR WINGS

"How precious is Your lovingkindness, O God! Therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of Your wings."    Psalm 36:7
The experience of the goodness of God meets the spirit's needs and gives peace to the soul.

FLESH OR SPIRIT

"For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace."    Romans 8:5-6
Those who seek to fulfill the desires of the flesh (soul) will reap pain and suffering, until they are finished off by death.
But those who seek to obey the Spirit of God, that is, practice what the Word of the Spirit has inspired them, will enjoy the present and also the eternal salvation that is to come.

A LIVING SACRIFICE

"I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service."      Romans 12:1
Contradicting the inclinations of the heart and turning down what this world has to offer is a daily exercise that true disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ must do. This includes spiritual offerings, living sacrifices to the Lord God. In return, He fulfills the desires of our heart.

Salvation

“For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?” Matthew 16.26

We are living in the last days. Few, very few indeed, will be saved. Do you want to be sure of that? Observe the dreams of the people around you. Who dreams of saving your soul? Who is concerned with the final destination of your soul?

Thirsty

"O God, You are my God; early will I seek You; my soul thirsts for You; my flesh longs for You in a dry and thirsty land where there is no water." Psalms 63:1

Just like the dry land is eager for water, a prisioner for freedom, and the blind for light, the soul needs to be in relation to God. Jesus can only save those who are lost.

Joy of salvation

"Restore to me the joy of Your salvation, and uphold me by Your generous Spirit."
Psalms 51:12
The confession of sins saves our souls from the accusations from hell, which makes it possible for us to receive the Spirit of God.

Soul vs Spirit

"And so it is written, “The first man Adam became a living being.”[a] The last Adam became a life-giving spirit." 1 Corinthians 15:45

Man comes to this world as a living being but when he's born of the Holy Spirit, he becomes life-giving spirit. When he's baptised with the Holy Spirit, He's stamped with a Divine Seal.
