Revenge

"...in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know God, and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ." 2 Thessalonians 1.8
The Divine revenge is not just against those who do not know the Lord God, but also against those who are disobedient to the Gospel of the Lord Jesus. That is, those who have occupied a church pew every week, listen and learn the teachings of Jesus and yet, still do not practice them. What good is it to have faith in Jesus but not obey His Word? Would such faith be able to save him?

Never satisfied...

"Hell and Destruction are never full; so the eyes of man are never satisfied." Proverbs 27.20
Hell, the grave and human eyes have this in common: they are never satisfied. Hell and the grave are facts to those already there. But for the living, the worst are the eyes, which, if left unsupervised, will lead to hell.

Righteousness

"You shall follow what is altogether just, that you may live and inherit the land which the Lord your God is giving you." Deuteronomy 16.20
There is no other way. Whosoever wants to save their soul and inherit the Kingdom of Heaven must walk in righteousness. God is not only Righteous but also He also hates unrighteousness. Any sin, no matter how small, is a clear manifestation of unrighteousness, and they are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. (Galatians 5.19-21)

Witness

"But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” Acts 1.8

Nobody needs to receive the Holy Spirit to be healed, delivered from evil or to be prosperous. These miracles are natural wonders of faith in Jesus.
But to an "eyewitness" of His resurrection, a new creature and to possess His character, only by receiving the baptism of the Holy Spirit can you achieve that. He is the One who maintains our salvation until death.

Infirmities

"Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted." Isaiah 53.4
Those who know the Bible knows that the Lord Jesus has already taken all of  our infirmities and diseases. However, few are those who know how to take possession of this right. To accept it and take it without any fear or concern for medical examinations is a matter of faith that has nothing to do with the senses.

Sincere conversion

"For thus says the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel: 'In returning and rest you shall be saved; in quietness and confidence shall be your strength...'” Isaiah 30.15
Sin does not allow the heart to settle down. Only sincere conversion brings inner peace. Peace with yourself and especially with the Spirit of God. It is the tranquility that money, the glory or the power of this world cannot give. This is the force that keeps the confidence of salvation renewed.

Sincere heart

"Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water." Hebrews 10.22
The Spirit of God weighs the heart and knows when it is pure and sincere or not. Because of this, David reached mercy before God. He found true repentance to reach salvation.

Daily faith

"Now the just shall live by faith; but if anyone draws back, My soul has no pleasure in him." Hebrews 10.38
Supernatural faith is an absolute certainty that comes from above. It's more important than our daily bread, and we depend on it as much as we depend on the air we breathe. We have to breathe it in, and exercise it every second so we do not become weak. It is the energy of God, the breath of God, the power of God in us to protect our salvation.

Good eyes

"The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is good, your whole body will be full of light." Matthew 6.22
Regardless of whether you are empty or full of the Spirit of God, all human beings have strengths and weaknesses. The difference is that those who are filled with the Holy Spirit only focus on other people's virtues, that is, their eyes are good. This is the vision of God. And whoever has the Spirit of God has this same vision.

You can expect that

"His brothers therefore said to Him, 'Depart from here and go into Judea, that Your disciples also may see the works that You are doing. For no one does anything in secret while he himself seeks to be known openly. If You do these things, show Yourself to the world.' For even His brothers did not believe in Him. Then Jesus said to them, 'My time has not yet come...'" John 7.3-6
When you make a difference, you can expect people to judge you, thinking that you are an attention seeker, just like Jesus' brothers. Do not let other people's negative way of seeing things prevent you from doing what God has put in your heart to do.

Death in the pot

"So one went out into the field to gather herbs, and found a wild vine, and gathered from it a lapful of wild gourds, and came and sliced them into the pot of stew, though they did not know what they were. Then they served it to the men to eat. Now it happened, as they were eating the stew, that they cried out and said, 'Man of God, there is death in the pot!' And they could not eat it. So he said, 'Then bring some flour.' And he put it into the pot, and said, 'Serve it to the people, that they may eat.' And there was nothing harmful in the pot." 2 Kings 4.39-41
The wild vine is showy, draws attention and looks good for consumption. So is the novel  "Saint Jorge" (Brazilian soap opera), whose appeal is to entertain. But in the end, is poisonous because it conveys the spirit of idolatry. It is certain death. Anything that contradicts the Word of God kills.
But whatever promotes living faith in the Living God produces life. Jesus is the Bread of Life, the "flour" that neutralizes the death in the family pot.

Spirit of the Lord

"And the Spirit of the Lord came mightily upon him, and he tore the lion apart as one would have torn apart a young goat, though he had nothing in his hand. But he did not tell his father or his mother what he had done." Judges 14.6

When the Spirit of God takes possession of someone, it is impossible not to overcome the difficulties of each day.
Give him freedom to invade your being, to dwell in your body, and you will see the difference. What the Spirit of the LORD did in the past, He does today.

Dominion of sin

"For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace." Romans 6.14
Behind sin there is always a spirit. In fact, sin is an evil spirit. Tho who live in faith in the Lord Jesus are not hostage to the spirit of sin. But those who live a farce of faith, then yes, they become slaves to sin. They are the ones who usually say: I can not overcome my desires, my flesh, my sins ...

Kicks

“But Jeshurun grew fat and kicked; you grew fat, you grew thick, you are obese! Then he forsook God who made him, and scornfully esteemed the Rock of his salvation." Deuteronomy 32.15

Kicks are a form of self-defense of horses, donkeys and large quadrupeds. But the kick in this context refers to the ungrateful, to those who have been freed from their dungeons, but then turned away ...
Many came to the UCKG one day in critical condition. And after being freed from their ailments, they turned their backs and joined the persecutors of the Universal Church.

Powerful Word

"For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart." Hebrews 4.12

It's the only word capable of generating power to create, save and transform any human being. God does not require perfection, holiness, purity or any other virtue. Only a vote of confidence that He will do everything He promised to do. Those who propose themselves to believe in it will have the Personal Answer from the Almighty.

The Work of God

"He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil." 1 John 3.8
The work of God is to destroy the devil's work. To do this, we must be able to confront Hell. Only those who are sealed, anointed with the Holy Spirit, are able to do so. If a Christian says he is baptized with the Holy Spirit but he is not, in the confrontation with hell, he loses. This is the reason why many have fallen in faith ...

Shipwreck of faith

"...having faith and a good conscience, which some having rejected, concerning the faith have suffered shipwreck." 1 Timothy 1.19
A good conscience is fundamental in maintaining the faith. Many have sunk in faith because they have neglected striving to have a good conscience. A clear conscience generates peace with yourself and above all, with God.

Life by faith

"Now the just shall live by faith; But if anyone draws back, my soul has no pleasure in him.” Hebrews 10.38
Pure conscience is the good ground ready to receive the seed. The Word of God sown in this land produces pure faith. A faith that pleases God, that grants forgiveness to the greatest sinner so that he can become a partner of the Creator.

Conscience

"How forceful are right words! But what does your arguing prove?" Job 6.25
The words of a friend accompanied with Spirit edifies and comforts the soul. However, the conscience must be humble take heed of the Voice of God.

Discipline

"Now no chastening seems to be joyful for the present, but painful; nevertheless, afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it." Hebrews 12.11
The proud sons of the devil, hate discipline. But the humble sons of the Spirit, love to be corrected because most consider it a learning experience.
"Faithful are the wounds of a friend, but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful." Proverbs 27.6

Covenant

“And I will establish My covenant between Me and you and your descendants after you in their generations, for an everlasting covenant, to be God to you and your descendants after you." Genesis 17.4
Covenant, pact, marriage or accepting Jesus as Lord and Savior involves mutual commitment between creature and Creator. It is all about sacrifice from both parties. Jesus sacrificed and is still sacrificing as He endures our imperfections. From our part, the sacrifice is to surrender our will to do His. This agreement allows Him to be our Lord and God for all eternity.

Sincerely

"For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." Matthew 6.21

Treasure means what is most important for each one of us. It is the center of life. Who or what has been your greatest treasure in the whole world? Family? Profession? Assets? Boyfriend Fiancé? Bank account? Car? Religion? You?
Who would you, SINCERELY and HONESTLY, give up your own life for?
Your answer indicates where your heart is.

Resentment

"He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked." 1 John 2.6
What is the point in confessing Jesus as Savior, be diligent in church, read the Bible, pray and fast, but at the same time, resent someone? Does this behavior has anything to do with Jesus? Is it possible to love God and hold grudges against anyone? Is this walking as Jesus walked?
"For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you." Matthew 6.14

Natural man

"But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned." 1 Corinthians 2.14

There are only two types of human beings: the natural and the supernatural. The natural man/woman do not receive the things of God because their nature is earthly, natural and Adamic. Therefore, their faith is also natural.
But the supernatural  man/woman obey the Word of the Spirit of God because their nature is heavenly, spiritual and supernatural. Therefore, their faith is supernatural.

Who is who

"But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His." Romans 8.9
In my view, this is one of the most incisive biblical statements. It does not leave room to doubts or discussion. Those who have been possessed by the Spirit of God are so different from those who have not, just as the difference between wine and milk. The behavior of each one bears witness to who is who.

Unbearable

"Bring no more futile sacrifices; incense is an abomination to Me.The New Moons, the Sabbaths, and the calling of assemblies—I cannot endure iniquity and the sacred meeting." Isaiah 1.13
Offerings, sacrifices and religious zeal cannot make up for a person's sins and they are not pleasing to the Lord. The children of Israel know this very well. It was not a difficult task for them to fulfil religious obligations. The hard part was to stay away from sin.
Wouldn't it be the same as a husband full of lovers saying to his wife, "I've given you comfort, good houses, expensive cars, jewellery, money, and everything else you need..."? But she says, "I don't have the most important thing: you."

Faithfulness

"...Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life." Revelation 2.10

The crown of life, that is, eternal life, depends on our faithfulness to the Lord Jesus until death. Just as faith is proven to death, our faithfulness is also. If our forefathers in faith have been proven to the end of their journeys in this world, why would we be spared?
If athletes take pains and sacrifice everything for a perishable gold medal, why should we not sacrifice everything for eternal life?

Guarantee of Salvation

"...you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory." Ephesians 1.13-14
Sealed with the Holy Spirit, guarantee of inheritance, redeemed possession, and the praise of His glory. In practical terms, the seal of the Holy Spirit is the GUARANTEE OF SALVATION of His servants until Jesus comes to rescue them. Just as jewels guarantee a loan, the servants of God are the jewels of His Private Treasure. To ensure that these jewels are untouched while they are temporarily serving in this world, He sealed them with His Spirit until the day of his final redemption.

Answer

"Those by the wayside are the ones who hear; then the devil comes and takes away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved."
 Luke 8.12

The devil can steal the Word of the heart because, despite hearing it, the person still did not care, they were not interested, they despised it and gave it no value. They did not care for it because, in their eyes, it wasn't that important. Who would neglect a precious jewel?
For each four people who hears the word, at least one of them despises it.

On the wayside

“Listen! Behold, a sower went out to sow. And it happened, as he sowed, that some seed fell by the wayside; and the birds of the air came and devoured it." Mark 4.3-4

The seed is the word of God. Fallen by the wayside and eaten by birds is the seed that has been snatched away by the devil. The question is: Why the Word can be stolen?
This is the homework for my readers. Tomorrow, I will answer it.

There is rest in trusting

"I called on the Lord in distress; the Lord answered me and set me in a broad place." Psalms 118.5

Troubles are part of everyday life for every human beings. The difference is that not everyone has the Lord Jesus as a refuge. That's when they lose.
But for those who depend on Him, they find rest from praying and beign answered.
