David's heart

"Now it came to pass, when David was dwelling in his house, that David said to Nathan the prophet, 'see now, I dwell in a house of cedar, but the ark of the covenant of the Lord is under tent curtains.'” 1 Chronicles 17.1
David committed sins that were not erased. Violent and unjustifiable sins. He  and his people reaped its fruits. However, even in the face of such outrage, his heart remained according to God's heart. The above verse proves that, for in his concern with the building of the House of the Lord, he considered his faith and covenant to the God of his forefathers.

Signs of the times

"He answered and said to them, 'When it is evening you say, it will be fair weather, for the sky is red; and in the morning, 'It will be foul weather today, for the sky is red and threatening.’ Hypocrites! You know how to discern the face of the sky, but you cannot discern the signs of the times." Matthew 16.2-3
People can tell whether or not the weather will be good from the appearance of the sky, but they are not able to discern the signs of the coming of the Lord Jesus by the social situation in the world. Famine, war, terrorism, violence, drugs, destruction of homes, lack of love, children who kill their parents because of drugs, parents who rape children, prostitution, social injustice, political corruption, moral corruption, spiritual corruption, pests that spread, satanic religions, unprecedented immorality... Only someone who does not reason cannot see the whirlwind of events that point to the end of times.

The Book of Life

"He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life; but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels." Revelation 3.5
Who said that once saved you're saved forever? The sacred text denies this thesis. If the Lord Jesus promises not to erase the overcomer's name from the Book of Life is because it is possible to erase it. Therefore, salvation is something that needs to be maintained until our last breath. And to keep the garments white until the end, one must live away from the filth of this world.

First love

"Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love." Revelation 2.4

The church in Ephesus was supposed to be a reference of the Lord Jesus on Earth: with good works and perseverance, they had been proven and approved by the Lord and everything else. But their passion for souls had faded and in its place came another ...
However, the compassion of the Lord gives us a new chance to get back to what we were before. It's just a matter of wanting it and taking action.

Self-control

"For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace." Romans 6.14
This is another advantage of those who are born of the Spirit, which makes the difference between those who are and those who are not of God: sin has no dominion over them. In other words, they are not under the power of the spirit of sin. They will only sin if they want to, for the fruit of the Holy Spirit is self-control.

Prayer

"Then the LORD appeared to Solomon by night, and said to him: 'I have heard your prayer, and have chosen this place for Myself as a house of sacrifice.'" 2 Chronicles 7.20
I believe that prayer is effective only when it is sincere. Without sincerity, it’s useless to say many words. It's like sowing in the wind. Also formalities, like being on your knees or attending church, do not guarantee answers. What really counts is a contrite, broken and repentant heart, which characterises sincere humility.

All things new

“Then He who sat on the throne said, ‘Behold, I make all things new.’ And He said to me, ‘Write, for these words are true and faithful.’” Revelation 21.5
In this world, everything ages, everything ceases to exist, everything ends... But He who sits on the throne, who is the Fountain of Eternal Life, makes all things new. But for this to happen, there must be total surrender. Well, how can you make an omelette without breaking eggs? How can you make a new vase if the clay is not soft?

Repentance

"Repent, or else I will come to you quickly and will fight against them with the sword of My mouth." Revelation 2.16
Contrary to feelings like remorse, repentance has to do with intelligent actions or attitudes of obedience. First, acknowledge your sin, then hate it and, finally, abandon it permanently.

The way to salvation

"If disaster comes upon us—sword, judgment, pestilence, or famine—we will stand before this temple and in Your presence (for Your name is in this temple), and cry out to You in our affliction, and You will hear and save." 2 Chronicles 20.9

The Temple of the Lord is the Church where the name in evidence is that of the Lord Jesus Christ. It is the place where we will all cry out in one faith, one spirit and one heart, and He will hear us and deliver us. It happened to Jehoshaphat and his entire kingdom, including their wives and children.
And the answer came immediately, saying: the battle is not yours but of the Lord your God.

Humility vs. Pride

"The fear of the Lord is the instruction of wisdom, and before honor is humility." Proverbs 15.33
The main characteristic of those who are born of the Spirit is humility. It was the remarkable nature of the character of the Lord Jesus on Earth, and it could not be different from that of His followers.
But the characteristic of the children of the devil is pride, the mark of Cain and his descendants.

Fear

"Then some came and told Jehoshaphat, saying, 'A great multitude is coming against you from beyond the sea, from Syria; and they are in Hazazon Tamar' (which is En Gedi). And Jehoshaphat feared, and set himself to seek the Lord, and proclaimed a fast throughout all Judah."  2 Chronicles 20.2-3
The devil works with a threatening word, to spread fear, and especially terror. He does not usually use the opponents as much as he does the people who are closest to us. That's right. He often uses those in which we trust most. However it may be, as the example of Jehoshaphat, when terror comes, start seeking the Lord and fasting immediately. The spirit of fear does not stand.

Humility

"For we have no power against this great multitude that is coming against us; nor do we know what to do, but our eyes are upon You.” 2 Chronicles 20.12
As much as our problems may seem serious, urgent and insoluble, the Altar is the place where you can reach the answer. In the prayer of Jehoshaphat we find the humility that moves the Almighty and brings an immediate answer.

A thorn in the flesh

"And lest I should be exalted above measure by the abundance of the revelations, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I be exalted above measure." 2 Corinthians 12.7
The Work of God, or the destruction of the works of satan, demands total selflessness. And the greater the revelations of the Spirit, more humility is required. It is not known exactly what kind of thorn in the flesh Paul had. But surely, God allowed him to stay protected from pride.

Cry aloud, spare not!

“As for Me, says the Lord, this is My covenant with them: My Spirit who is upon you, and My words which I have put in your mouth, shall not depart from your mouth, nor from the mouth of your descendants, nor from the mouth of your descendants’ descendants, says the Lord, from this time and forevermore.” Isaiah 59.21
How wonderful is it to be assured that the Lord keeps His covenant with us. To know that  His Spirit is in us, His Word is in our mouths and that all this is extended to our generations forever. I bring this word upon my life and also transfer it to you, the followers of this blog. Be blessed by this word!

Abound in hope

"Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit." Romans 15.13
Our hope is that one day our tears, fears, sorrows, worries and all sorts of trouble that we have suffered in this world will be transformed into joy, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. So let us stand firm in this faith until the day of our departure to be with our Lord Jesus Christ.

Life more abundant

"The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly." John 10.10

The more abundant life promised by the Lord Jesus only happens when one enters the Kingdom of God. People can even succeed, have material comfort and self-indulgence, however, life in all its fullness is only possible when one lives under the wings of the Almighty. For how is would be possible to live in fullness of life, be covered with gold and precious stones, if the interior is mortally ill?

Weapon formed

"'No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is from Me,' says the Lord." Isaiah 54.17
The promises of God are magnificent. All enjoy and memorize, but none of them fall from the sky like rain. Those who want to take possession of them have to pay the price. The verse above guarantees that every weapon formed AGAINST HIS SERVANTS will not prosper. Servant is the one who serves, who devotes his entire life, sacrificing their desires for his Lord.

Glorious promise

"No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life; as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you nor forsake you." Joshua 1.5
This same promise was also made to Abraham, Isaac, Israel and Moses. Now it was Joshua's time. In every age, the chosen of the Lord are assured of His constant presence. There is no jewel or treasure in the entire universe that can be more precious than this. His presence has been with all those who are with Him. But those who despise Him are lightly esteemed.

All things consist

"And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist." Colossians 1.17

It is painful know of people who, until recently, seemed to be firm in their faith and are now fallen. I was wondering, why Lord? His response was immediate: Those who really are in Jesus do not remain for a time only, but for eternity. Those who were in the faith and have fallen is because they were never in Jesus in the first place. Because neither life, nor death, nor the world, or family problems, or sickness, or disease, or loved ones, that is, nothing in this world has the power to separate those who are in Christ Jesus our Lord.

I am coming quickly

"He who is unjust, let him be unjust still; he who is filthy, let him be filthy still; he who is righteous, let him be righteous still; he who is holy, let him be holy still. And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work.Revelation 22.11-12
Patience is not a virtue of all, but it is part of the character of the Almighty. When we see the social and spiritual injustices running at the speed of sound we ask ourselves: how long Lord? His apocalyptic answer comforts the righteous and warns the unrighteous: I AM COMING QUICKLY...

The righteous teach

"Let a righteous man strike me—that is a kindness; let him rebuke me—that is oil on my head. My head will not refuse it, for my prayer will still be against the deeds of evildoers." Psalm 141.5

A righteous person teaches and those who are also righteous learn. For them, although the learning process may be painful or feel like an act of injustice, they know it is for their own good and accept it with gratitude.
But it is not so with the wicked, that is, those who are born of the flesh. They feel it as injustice, complain, get hurt, angry, do not accept it and even want revenge. But it is only natural, after all, the darkness hates the works of the light.
