Fear

"For all those things has my hand made, and all those things have been, said the Lord: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembles at my word." Isaiah 66:2

In this world many go through pain, suffering and injustice; their spirit is downcast, humiliated and broken and they are sinking to the bottom of the pit. The sorrowful life that they lead causes them to look up and shout for help. It is then that they see God's tender gaze and His Hands outstretched, ready to rescue them.

Then, after showing them His love and pulling them out of their agony, He only requires one thing from them: to keep His Word and His Discipline. If they refuse to abide by this obedience then God will no longer protect their lives.

God's Dwelling Place

Thus says the Lord: "Heaven is My throne, and the earth is My footstool: where then is a house you could build for me? And where is a place that I may rest?" Isaiah 66:1

The Holy Spirit came to guide us and also to be our necessary strength during tribulation. When we are filled with the Spirit of Jesus, we have the capacity to face any situation that arises.

We were built to be His dwelling place: He wants to walk with our feet, hear with our ears and speak to and console people with our mouth.

This verse (besides revealing the GREATNESS OF GOD), explains that we are His feet here on Earth; to reach those who are lost through their vices and sin.

Wedding Invitation

"May the Lord add blessings upon you: upon you and your children." Psalm 115:14

These were the words we chose for our wedding invitation. I knew that God was guiding my life, as He had asked just that. At the time I didn't realise what He was trying to show me.

After many years I found the invitation in a drawer and then the voice of the Holy Spirit spoke clearly to my heart:
"I will unite you both so that you may have many spiritual children, with My Blessing."

Wonders

"Many, O Lord my God, are the wonders which you have done; and your thoughts toward us; there is none to compare to you. If I would declare and speak of them, they would be too numerous to count." Psalm 40:5

Facts that display the magnitude of my King Jesus...

Answer

"I will climb to my watchtower and stand at my guardpost. There I will wait to see what the Lord says and how He will answer my complaint." Habakkuk 2:1

Depositing all of our trust in our Fortress - which is the Lord Jesus; on guard, so that neither doubt nor a word will distinguish it.

Faith: the channel that leads us to God.

When we act it then the Holy Spirit will guide us and give us the answer to our prayers.

The Cloud

"Therefore, seeing we have so great a cloud of witnesses around us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us." Hebrews 12:1

What we saw on Wednesday, throughout Brazil, was a great cloud of testimonies from people who believe in the Living God. For so many others, it was an opportunity to find relief and peace for the soul.

Therefore, we accept the proposal of our Lord Jesus: to enjoy a better life in His presence; both today and forever.

Believe or Run Away

Therefore, thus says the Lord God: "Behold, I am laying a stone in Zion, a tested stone, a costly cornerstone for the foundation, firmly placed; he who believes in it will not be disturbed." Isaiah 28:16

When God asked Abraham to sacrifice his son, and he obeyed, the way to please Him was revealed to the world. It isn't enough to know the Word or His will only. We must act the faith that has been entrusted to us. When we trust in Him and allow Him to direct our lives, we manifest an intelligent faith. Abraham put his feelings aside - he didn't run - he acted his faith.

Faith and Action

The times are bad; everyone is facing difficulties. However, God expects each person to live by exercising the faith that they have received. Faith is action. Those who act, conquer; but those who don't act, don't conquer.

"Ask and it shall be given unto you; seek and you shall find; knock and it shall be opened unto you." Matthew 7:7

A Good Conscience

"...keeping faith and a good conscience, which some have rejected and suffered shipwreck in regard to their faith." 1 Timothy 1:19

Many have overlooked a good conscience; however, without it, it is impossible to maintain the Christian faith. The bad examples of ex Christians who have failed are evident everywhere. There are so many because they neglected to have a good conscience. The Apostle Paul faced this problem in his ministry: people who once lived by faith but due to their lack of care for their good conscience, they eventually lost their faith.

The victory doesn't belong to those who start in the faith but rather they that stay until the end. The devil works hard to damage the faith of those who are sincere, so it is our duty to defend it using the weapons available to us through the Word of God.

The Lips and The Heart

"May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing to you, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer." Psalm 19:14

Sweeter

"They are more desirable than gold, even the finest gold. They are sweeter than honey, even honey dripping from the comb." Psalm 19:10

The human being has a void. He is missing something unknown. All of his dissatisfaction is in fact a hunger and a thirst for God. It's a hunger in his spirit but he doesn't know it. When the Word of God is revealed to him, he finds an inexhaustible treasure that grants him access to an infinite God. From that moment his heart rests in total reliance on Divine thoughts.

The Law of God restores the soul and gives joy to the spirit; it is for this reason that His teachings are sweeter than honey.

Clean

"The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever; the rules of the Lord are true, and righteous altogether." Psalm 19:9

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge (wisdom).
It is the reverence for His Word - and as long as we are listening and practicing it - it becomes clear and transparent in our lives; branding us as children of God, with His character, that everyone around us will be able to see.

Those who fight for spiritual survival are overcomers everyday and thus attain eternal life.

God's standards are both true and fair.

Precepts

"The precepts of the Lord are right, bringing joy to the heart; the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes." Psalm 19:8

Human laws are flawed and are still subject to change and reform. However, the Law of my Lord remains forever, irrelevant of the times, fitting perfectly into any era. It was published so that life would be happy and joyful. It is pure and Holy and opens our eyes to see the greatness of God.

Meditation

Many of the followers of this page are curious to know the correct way to read the Bible.

When I experienced the New Birth, a hunger and a thirst to know His thoughts and His will was also born in me. I was determined to read His Word from cover to cover. Everyday I read two chapters from the Old Testament and one from the New Testament; I always started on the first day of the year and I repeated this for several years - and I still do. I like reading Psalms and Proverbs also because they helped me to build my character and to understand others.

However, the reading itself is not the most important thing but rather the MEDITATION of the Word. It was only by meditating on the Word of God that I was able to live my life according to His voice.

"The Law of the Lord is perfect, restoring the soul; the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple." Psalm 19: 7

I learnt to love Him, in the knowledge that He loved me first - although I didn't deserve it. No one understands me like He does; He knows me so well. He knows my thoughts; He never fails; He fills my whole being with His presence; He gave me the assurance of my salvation; He sacrificed His Son for me. It's a Love that is second to none!

The Tree

"Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, and whose hope is the Lord.

For he will be like a tree planted by the water, that extends its roots by a stream and will not fear when the heat comes; but its leaves will be green, and it will not be anxious in a year of drought, nor cease to yield fruit." Jeremiah 17:7-8

When you establish your trust in God, His presence refreshes and satisfies your soul in such a way that even if problems come, you are steadfast and certain of victory; and still, you are able to infect others with this living water - the drink from the Rivers of God.

Conviction

"For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
Romans 8:38-39

The remarkable experience sensed by those who are born of God is very strong. The love of their Lord is unparalleled; His love brings them peace and security. He gives them direction and vision so that they will make the right choices; and the best thing: the certainty (with gladness and joy) of their salvation – the passport of faith.

Thanksgiving

"He who offers the sacrifice of thanksgiving glorifies me; and to him that orders his way aright, will I show the salvation of God." Psalm 50:23

Sunday: the day we dedicate to our God; to worship Him, to glorify Him and to encounter the fullness of His Spirit. It is this supply of the Spirit that empowers us to make His Name known to all those that desire Him in their lives.

Brightness

"Those who are wise will shine as bright as the sky, and those who lead many to righteousness will shine like the stars forever." Daniel 12:3

He who saves souls is wise.
There is a price to pay, but the harvest is great and the labourers are few. You have to work your fingers to the bone, fast, pray early in the morning and then by the Spirit, be used to show people the Way of salvation.

"Those who sow in tears shall reap with joy." Psalm 126:5
These people will shine for all eternity.

I Am Pleased

"Behold, my servant whom I have chosen, my beloved with whom my soul is well pleased. I will put my Spirit upon him, and he will proclaim justice to the Gentiles." Matthew 12:18

Shortly after the Lord Jesus was baptized in water by John the Baptist, there came a voice from heaven saying: "This is my Son, in whom I am well pleased." These words were proof that Jesus pleased and obeyed His Father. Therefore, those who seek to be free must abandon the wrong path and follow the right one. It is on this right path that they will find God and hear the same voice; and He will make His home within them through the Holy Spirit.

We always pray that all will be filled with the presence of the Lord Jesus.

Revival

"O LORD, I have heard your speech, and was afraid: O LORD, revive your work in the middle of the years, in the middle of the years make known; in wrath remember mercy." Habakkuk 3:2

This is my prayer every day.
We were called and chosen to take the Word of God to the lost and to warn them of His return. The years are flying by and D Day is approaching; our souls are in agony for those who don't yet know Him.

Perseverance

"I know your works, your labour and your perseverance, and how you can not bear men that are evil: and you have tried those who say they are apostles, and are not, and have found them liars; and you have perseverance and have endured for My name sake, and have not grown weary." Revelation 2:2-3

Jesus reveals to the Apostle John that He holds His servants in His Hands: pastors that are at His disposal in the preaching of His Word. He says that He walks among the seven gold candlesticks - a symbol of the seven types of people that serve Him; people that were bought with His blood and are therefore priceless in value before Him. At the end, He praises those who persevere and don't give up, even in the face of difficulty.

We honour a just God, Who appreciates faithful children that persevere.

God's Dwelling Place

"For thus says the One who is high and lofty, who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: “I dwell in the high and holy place, and also with him who is of a contrite and lowly spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly, and to revive the heart of the contrite." Isaiah 57:15

The verse above is the answer to those who are tired of asking God for something that they haven't received the answer to yet. If He dwells with the contrite, then that means that He is by your side - right there with you, who are in pain. The Lord Jesus Himself assures us that: "...whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours." Mark 11:24

The secret is to believe that you have already received what you have asked for in prayer.

Gift

How wonderful!
Just by reading and hearing God's advice, you are already a blessing. Don't waste time, put this gift into practice in your life. This was revealed to the Apostle John, Jesus' beloved one. Guard the Word in your heart and let no one take it from you. Be a beloved one also, for all eternity.

"Blessed is he that reads, and they that hear the words of the prophecy, and keep the things that are written therein: for the time is near."
Revelation 1:3

Home

"Let us go to the sanctuary of the Lord; let us worship at his footstool. Arise, O Lord, and enter your resting place, along with the Ark, the symbol of your power.
May your priests be clothed in godliness; may your loyal servants sing for joy."
Psalm 132:7-9

NOTE: Today the Ark is the Holy Spirit living in us, making us strong and firm; unshakeable.

Blood

It happened at the first Passover celebrated by the Hebrew people in Egypt. At the eating of the lamb and the painting of their doorposts with blood, their deliverance from slavery by the hand of God was seen. The Angel of Death passed from house to house - except from the houses of those who were obedient to the Word.

The Lord Jesus came to the world as the Lamb of God. He came to save and to free the captives of the devil. He determined the salvation and freedom for all. Those who accept Him as Lord are covered by His blood, which is able to deliver them from eternal death. Since that sacrifice, those who are enslaved and oppressed by devil will only be free if they have the mark of the Son’s blood imprinted on their hearts. Death is sweeping across the land and leading souls to eternal death; and you friend, do you have the mark of the blood?

"For the Lord will pass through to strike the Egyptians, and when he sees the blood on the lintel and on both doorposts, the LORD will pass over the door and will not allow the destroyer to enter your houses to strike you." Exodus 12:23

NOTE: Do not live by appearance, only looking to please other; look carefully, He said: "on both doorposts," - inside and outside the door - which means that you need to have a heart of God.

The Way

"Let me hear Your lovingkindness in the morning, for I trust in You; teach me the way in which I should walk, for to You I lift up my soul."
Psalm 143:8

When we focus on the reasoning of this prayer we can capture the spirit of trust and faith of the psalmist better. Total dependence on the direction from the Spirit of God. But one must be attentive to His voice to know the attitude that he should take every day. If we obey this direction, we will succeed in everything that we do; and He will be honoured.

Presence

"By day the Lord went ahead of them in a column of smoke to lead them on their way. By night he went ahead of them in a column of fire to give them light so that they could travel by day or by night." Exodus 13:21

God walked with the people in the desert. Today, He continues walking with us on our path. His desire in the past is the same as today: to live with us.

In the past, His presence was seen when they saw the cloud. The cloud today is His Spirit. Not in heaven, but in the hearts of those who surrender to His Son Jesus.

Those who have the Spirit have the Fire of the Spirit, burning and pushing them to help those who desire to leave the slavery of Egypt.
