ALL OR NOTHING

"No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money."  Luke 16:13

You must surrender your life to God 100%. Even if you leave out a mere .0001%, that small percentage will eventually try to serve another master.  With God it's all or nothing. Especially because the Holy Spirit isn't out-poured in quantities. He gives 100%. Therefore, if He gives 100% of Himself, He has the right to demand that we give 100% of ourselves.

CONFIDENCE

"For thus says the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel: 'In returning and rest you shall be saved; in quietness and confidence shall be your strength.' But you would not..."   Isaiah 30:15

When you turn away from evil, you move toward inner peace.  But our strength comes from the tranquility and confidence found in the Word of the God of Abraham, Isaac and Israel. 

FRIEND OF THE WORLD

"Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God." James 4:4

Those who know the Road to salvation but are drawn to what this world has to offer, are by choice, distancing themselves away from God. Jesus gave one hundred percent of Himself in favor of us sinners; therefore, He requires us to surrender wholeheartedly to Him.    

FAMINE OF HEARING

"Behold, the days are coming," says the Lord God, "That I will send a famine on the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the Lord."Amos 8:11

Those who have been called, hunger for the Word of God. But, the chosen are the ones who put it into practice. To them, the arm of the Lord has been revealed.

SAFETY

"And you would be secure, because there is hope; yes, you would dig around you, and take your rest in safety."Job 11:18

Only those who are born of God can safely live in such an unsafe world. The assurance that salvation brings gives us inner peace, even in the face of our greatest adversity. Oh! How I wish everyone would understand that!...

IF...

 "...if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land."2 Chronicles 7:14

Divine promises are always conditional. Whoever wants to be heard, forgiven and healed must turn from their evil ways. It is a personal and non-negotiable action.
What good is it to have faith in Jesus, be active in the church, read the Bible, pray, fast, be a faithful tither and continue living in sin?

DISCERNMENT

"For with you is the fountain of life; in your light we see light."Psalm 36:9

Existence began with light. Life begins with light. Only those who are truly born of the Spirit of God have the Light of eternal life. As a result, they are able to discern what is good and what is bad for their life.
