Thirsty

"O God, You are my God; early will I seek You; my soul thirsts for You; my flesh longs for You in a dry and thirsty land where there is no water." Psalms 63:1

Just like the dry land is eager for water, a prisioner for freedom, and the blind for light, the soul needs to be in relation to God. Jesus can only save those who are lost.

Strengthened

"...that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man..." Ephesians 3:16
The action of the Holy Spirit strengthens the faith, making it useful for the Work of God. In fact, it makes those who serve and perform God's will stronger.

Abide

"Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me." John 15:4

A conquest is not hard, hard is to establish it; Surrendering your life to God is not hard, hard is to abide in Him. Thus, a great need of the baptism with the Holy Spirit.

Ransomed

Joy of salvation

"Restore to me the joy of Your salvation, and uphold me by Your generous Spirit."
Psalms 51:12
The confession of sins saves our souls from the accusations from hell, which makes it possible for us to receive the Spirit of God.
