Keep from the evil one

I do not pray that You should take them out of the world, but that You should keep them from the evil one. João 17:15

In this prayer, the Lord Jesus didn't pray for all human kind, but to those who followed Him faithfully. The question is: why so many who believe in Him are not protected from evil? Answer: because not all of those who say they believe are truly sincere in their belief.

The Righteous

Can a mortal be more righteous than God? Can a man be more pure than his Maker? Job 4.17

Who is righteous before the Almighty if even the angels have their imperfections? Nevertheless, the Lord Jesus' sacrifice and total surrender made it possible for His blood to purify us from all sin, making us deserving.

Uprightness

Now if you walk before Me as your father David walked, in integrity of heart and in uprightness... I Kings 9.4

Integrity and uprightness are fundamental ingredients for a relationship between the human being and God. This is the difference between those who serve Him and thos who don't.

Pleads the cause

"Plead my cause and redeem me; revive me according to Your word." Psalms 119:154

Due to His sacrifice, the Lord Jesus became a Lawyer before God the Father, on behalf of those who believe He's Lord and Savior.

Snooze

"Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed iswilling, but the flesh is weak." Matthew 26.41

In the past, whole cities were devastated by a simple 'snooze' moment of their vigilants. The same has happened to many followers of the Lord Jesus. To watch and pray is not an option. It's a necessity. It's a question of survival.

Since the beginning

"The entirety of Your word is truth, and every one of Your righteous judgments endures forever." Psalms 119:160

Since the beginnning of creation, the Promises of God have been proven to be real and true in the lives of those who sacrifice their lives to follow Him.

Affliction

"Consider my affliction and deliver me, for I do not forget Your law." Psalms 119:153

The Spirit of God is attentive to those who are afflicted. But He can only help those who turn to Him.
