Wash the feet

"If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet."

John 13: 14

Jesus did not wash His disciples' feet to show humbleness, but to teach them how to behave with one another. The servant does not question, but obey.

Sent

" As You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world."

                   John 17:18

The Lord Jesus gave the example of faith and obedience... now it's time for His followers to give this kind of love by faith through obedience.

Fear

"Whenever I am afraid, I will trust in You."

Psalms 56: 3

This is the Word that uplifts and strengthens: when fear comes, I'll trust in Him who promised!

God's habitat

"For thus says the High and Lofty One Who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: “ I dwell in the high and holy place, with him who has a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones." 

Isaiah 57.15

God is always close to those who are afflicted, just waiting to be called. One must manifest their faith by crying out to Him.

Desire

" LORD, You have heard the desire of the humble; You will prepare their heart; You will cause Your ear to hear..."

Psalms 10:17

Blessed are those with a humble spirit, for God hears their cry. He's always ready to help and fulfil their desires.

His Name

"Those who know your name trust in you, for you, LORD, have never forsaken those who seek you."

Psalms 9:10


Those who have trusted their lives in the Lord Jesus, for sure, will never be forsaken. Sooner or later, they'll see His answer.

Reject

"Because they hated knowledge and did not choose the fear of the LORD"

Provérbios 1:29


The importance and preference given to material possessions have been the plate of lentils offered successfully by the devil to those who don't fear God. And so they fall into temptation.

Light

"For it is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us."

2 Corinthians 4:6-7


In Jesus, God's desire was fulfilled on shining His light on those His Spirit has chosen, regardless of their merits, but by faith.

Feast

"Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, nor with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth."

1 Corinthians 5:8

The Lord Supper is a celebration of the live presence of the Lord & Savior Jesus Christ in us. For this reason, it must be taken with a free conscience of all emotions and guilt.

Cup and table

"You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons; you cannot partake of the Lord’s table and of the table of demons."

1 Corinthians 10:21

There's no way to share your life with two lords! Some people try to divide their life in three: Jesus, the devil and himself. The secret of your soul's salvation is in the definition of your faith in the Lord Jesus.

Ponder

"Ponder the path of your feet, and let all your ways be established. Do not turn to the right or the left; remove your foot from evil."

Provérbios 4:26-27

When taking an initiative or making a choice, ponder well, and above all, with the fear of God inside you. Life today depends on decisions made yesterday; life tomorow will depend on decisions made today.

Sleep

"I will both lie down in peace, and sleep; for You alone, O LORD, make me dwell in safety."

Psalms 4:8


There's life to those who have trusted their own in the Hands of the Lord Jesus. His Spirit drives them to interior peace and perfect nights' sleep.

Straight

"Lead me, O LORD, in Your righteousness because of my enemies; make Your way straight before my face."

Psalms 5:8


Those who live in the Light will always have darkness as their adversaries. But the Lord is faithful to those who trust in Him and He'll make their paths straight.

Plans

“I know that You can do everything, and that no purpose of Yours can be withheld from You."

Job 42:2

The faith of Job was not focused on the powerful works, but on the Creator of everything. He had a conviction inside of him that said nothing is impossible for Him.

Greatness

"Arise, O LORD, in Your anger; lift Yourself up because of the rage of my enemies; rise up for me[a]to the judgment You have commanded!"

Psalms 7:6

The Lord hears the prayer of the sincere and defend them from their adversaries.

Word

"So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it."

Isaiah 55:11

The Word of God is given so it may be used as a defensive tool for your faith. Besides the spirit and live that it transmits, it cleans useless and vain thoughts in our minds.

Mercy

"'For the mountains shall depart and the hills be removed, but My kindness shall not depart from you, nor shall My covenant of peace be removed' Says the LORD, who has mercy on you."

Isaiah 54:10


The Earth may be shaken by catastrophes and tragedies, nevertheless, the merciful Eyes of the Lord are constant towards His chosen ones.

Beautiful feet

"How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news,who proclaims peace, who brings glad tidings of good things, who proclaims salvation..."

Isaiah 52:7

Those who preach salvation are the Apple of God's Eyes. They benefit from all the blessings of the Altar, the Throne of God.

Pit

"Listen to Me, you who follow after righteousness, you who seek the LORD: Look to the rock from which you were hewn, and to the hole of the pit from which you were dug."

Isaiah 51:1

Those who seek justice is found by the Lord of justice. Wherever they are, even in the deepest pit, God will find them and hear their soul's cry.

Wake up

"The Lord GOD has given Me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him who is weary. He awakens Me morning by morning, He awakens My ear to hear as the learned."

Isaiah 50:4

It's an extraordinary privilege to hear God's Voice in the morning, just as it is to allow Him to use our tongue as an instrument of blessings to many.

Forget

"Can a woman forget her nursing child, and not have compassion on the son of her womb? Surely they may forget, yet I will not forget you."

Isaiah 49:15

God's pleasure is to care for His Children. He never forgets, not even for a minute, neither one of them.

Teach

"Thus says the LORD, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: 'I am the LORD your God, Who teaches you to profit,Who leads you by the way you should go."

Isaiah 48:17 

The Holy Spirit inspires, teaches, and guides through His Holy Word. But it's up to us to put His guidance into practice. In the contrary, there's no result.

Thirsty

"For I will pour water on him who is thirsty, and floods on the dry ground; I will pour My Spirit on your descendants, and My blessing on your offspring; "

Isaías 44:3


He who seeks to drink from the Fountain, Living Waters will flow from within him, and in time, so will his family enjoy the same.

Tears of Injustice

"You number my wanderings; put my tears into Your bottle; are they not in Your book?"

Psalms 56:8

God sees injustices suffered because of His Name and He certainly doesn't let them be unpunished. Sooner or later, His servants will reap the fruits of perseverance.

Contrite Heart

"The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, a broken and a contrite heart—These, O God, You will not despise." Psalms 51:17

The contrite, humbled, and repented heart will always be welcomed before the Throne of God.

Restitution

" Restore to me the joy of Your salvation, and uphold me by Your generous Spirit..."

Psalms 51:12

This kind of heart points out the humble heart that recognises the need of forgiveness. This is what pleases God and brings us the answer.

Ears

"He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches."

Revelations 2.7

The Holy Spirit speaks today as He used to before. The problem is that not everyone has the ears to hear and follow His guidance.

Hidden treasure

"Yes, if you cry out for discernment, and lift up your voice for understanding, if you seek her as silver, and search for her as for hidden treasures;"

Proverbs 2:3-4

He who asks, receives, who seeks, finds. But he who values wisdom will certainly have guidance for life and many riches.

Sent

"As You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world." John 17:18

We've been sent to the world to make a difference, be it through our character, or through our testimony of His Power.
