Jesus did not wash His disciples' feet to show humbleness, but to teach them how to behave with one another. The servant does not question, but obey.

And what came to my mind is that we learn, through this example, to really serve one another as He served His disciples. I cannot be a "ceremony" but a principle of life from our heart.
ReplyDeleteJesus taught us mostly how to be servants, because He Himself served, being King. The higher position we acheive, the more servants we become.
