"If someone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen?"1 John 4:20
The love for God and consequently for those around us is not about a deep feeling, but about an attitude of respect and consideration. True love consists of unconditional surrender to those who are loved.
It is very strong Mrs. Ester, because love is not proven with words but with attitudes. It is so easy to say to someone that we love, but to prove it with action is something else. Kisses
ReplyDeleteIf we love God, we are able to love others. So like the verse said, we are liars if we say we love God but not our brother, for that is impossible. Our love for God is not portrayed only in words or servitude for Him in His work, but also (and mainly) through how we treat others.
ReplyDeleteWe always have an opportunity to show our love to God by the way we show love to others. If we still keep grudges, then how will we ever experience God's complete love in and through us? Thank you for this message Mrs Ester.
ReplyDeleteWhat stood out the most for me is that to love is to serve. When we truly love, we renounce our will in order to serve those we love, and if we can't do that for those we love and see, how can we do it for God, Who we don't see?
ReplyDeleteThose two words: respect and consideration are wonderful, when you love someone you respect and consider this person, if it is not so, really this Those two words: respect and consideration are wonderful, when you love someone you respect and consider this person, if it is not so, really this love is only words, but far away from what God really expects...***
ReplyDeletewe show that we love God when we bring someone to the church or when we share what we have to those who are in need
ReplyDeleteI really love this verse of the bible, because it says all. We have faith that God is here, but we can't see Him, people around us are visible, the point is that all we do here on earth reflects the love we have for Jesus Christ; if we don't give our best to those we see, how are we able to love someone who we can't see!
