" But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet, and the people are not warned, and the sword comes and takes any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood I will require at the watchman’s hand."
Ezekiel 33: 6
Everyone who is born of the Spirit has a responsibility to play the spiritual trumpet and announce the good news of the Gospel. Tell the world that the Lord Jesus has resurrected in order to fulfil His promises in the lives of those who believe.
this is true those who are born of the spirit know that the reason of their being is to save souls. this made me realise that i have to tel the world about Jesus. what called my attention in the above is that if i do not blow the trumpet the blood of those i was suppoed to save is going to be required on my hands. i Have to save souls and God is going to honour me
ReplyDeleteWe cannot keep for ourselves the joy and confidence we feel within. And how many all around are thirsty for the same but there is no one to blow the trumpet to them? This is why God is counting on us.
ReplyDeleteWhat i understood from this blog post was what a servant and someone with the Holy Spirit should be doing. when we've finally experience God in our lives for ourselves, God gives us our spiritual trumpet to blow, meaning us speaking to people about God, what we know He is able to fulfill in their lives, His promises and how He managed to change our life. But when we receive everything and have a relationship with Him, and we decide not to tell those outside about Him before He comes, their souls and blood remains on our hands because we heard about Him and we have even had an experience with Him! This message was so strong to me, because God shows the importance of the souls here, He gave us every tool we need to save them; His word, His name, His power and our personal testimony showing them what He done in our lives, and God showed me that i've been putting other things before His souls, when instead I should have been focusing on them. I believe that this is exactly where balancing comes in, the things of God, my personal things and my family. Mrs.Esther, through, the Holy Spirit spoke to me, that my main focus should be directly on saving souls because in numerous places God speaks about the souls/the sheeps and what would happen to the sheperds who were sent to lead them. Recently I was reading the book of Ezekiel, and in chapter 34:11-16, God speaks about exactly the same thing as I read today. This just comes to show the importance of our soul and the soul of all those outside, and the importance of us bring them closer to Him.
ReplyDeleteHi Mrs. Ester,
ReplyDeleteThis message spoke to me strongly, because one day I was lost and never knew about the peace I could have with Jesus, but someone was there to play the trumpet to me and I received life, so now that I have received I also have the responsibility of playing the trumpet to all those who are still lost out there and they have not found Jesus yet,,, God did not save me to keep it to myself- the joy I have -I should share with those who have not found Him yet and tell them about the Good News and I cannot fail in doing this because if I see those who are lost and I do not tell them the Good news-then their blood will be demanded from me,,
.this is very true God has choosen me to go out there to save the lost and if i dont do what is required from me GOD WILL TAKE WHAT HE HAS GIVEN ME AND GIVE TO THOSE WHO ARE WILLING TO DO THE WORK, AND GOD IS COUNTING ON ME AS HE'S SERVENT .
ReplyDeleteThis is very powerful Mrs Ester,
ReplyDeleteAs servants of God it is our biggest responsibility to GO out there and save souls because God has given us authority to do so and God is counting on us.
Kisses
Hey Mrs Ester
ReplyDeleteThis is true, eye opening and a reminder to why Jesus hasn't come back to us (that have salvation) yet, it is because he wants us to save others and show His love and the reason why He was sacrificed on the cross.
Hello, Mrs Ester
ReplyDeleteReading this message from Ezekiel for me emphaises the importance of being a follower of Jesus. It expresses the duty we have as Christians to Spread the word of God and fulfil his will. For this reason we should strive to continue being soulwinners not just to help ourselves but to help others to get out of living in sin. Therefore, if we live according to his will then we shall be blessed.
I was actually reading this passage today!! It shows how much God has entrusted to our hands; We can never forget that our goal is to save others, to warn them of the things to come; the consequence of life without Christ; in short to speak the truth of God. It is our duty-one that we cannot dare neglect
