Enemy of God

"Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God." James 4:4

Those who render to their fleshly desires, by their own flesh, will perish. Those who render to the feelings of their heart, by their own heart will be destroyed. But those who lean towards the Holy Spirit will have eternal life.

  1. God has awoken me to something very strong. How I have been blind for so many years. As people, we are so quick to defend our flesh when it hurts. We seek to comfort our flesh when it is hurt. Someone said something we that was hard to hear, instead of rejoicing because our flesh is weak and suffering, we seek comfort. We speak to a friend, trying to make ourselves feel better. We go through hard moments and quickly we want a way out, a way to heal the flesh when it is wounded. But, let's think. What is our flesh? Our flesh is a friend of the world and therefore an enemy of God!!! My flesh is my enemy, because it is leading me to hell. Every time I comfort my flesh, I am comforting an enemy which is trying to kill me. How revolting! When our flesh hurts, we have to rejoice, because that means our spirit is being strengthened. When our spirit is strong, the Spirit of God is able to testify with our spirit, speak with us, guide us, show us the way. Let's not feed this enemy. Every time something causes me pain now, I thank God. I really do. I thank Him because that pain is food for my spirit. That pain is saving me.

  2. Hello Mrs. Ester,

This verse and your word have really spoken to me today. I have been going thru a situation where if i give into my flesh I will lose a lot not only material, family but my salvation. God has spoken to me thru you. I thank you for that.
