Faith’s defense

“Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth…” Ephesians 6.14

The defense of faith requires that one girds one’s waist with truth. That is, surround oneself with a spiritual chain of people with the same faith. Avoid, as much as possible, people who don’t follow the same doctrine of faith. Humanly speaking, it’s impossible to hold on to faith when you keep company or sits in the seat of the scornful, children of Belial.
Is it difficult? Yes. But whoever desires to protect his relationship with God and ensure the salvation of his soul must sacrifice.

  1. This is exactly what I learnt today, when we surround ourselves constantly with people who are not off God our defence (faith) is down because we are only surrounded by those types of people. Many people believe they can have the world and have God, but it is simply impossible to have both because it is hard to hold onto our faith when we are constantly around those who are from the world and who do wrong. To hold onto our faith and salvation is hard, but definitely worth it at the end! Only those who hold on to their faith, are those who see the importance of their salvation and their relationship with God!

  2. Dear Mrs Ester,
I 100% agree with this post, it so true when we surround ourselves with people that aren’t from the same faith as we are our faith really start to go down.
