In the synagogue

"Now in the synagogue there was a man who had a spirit of an unclean demon. And he cried out with a loud voice, saying, Let us alone! What have we to do with You, Jesus of Nazareth? Did You come to destroy us? I know who You are—the Holy One of God! But Jesus rebuked him, saying, be quiet, and come out of him! And when the demon had thrown him in their midst, it came out of him and did not hurt him." Luke 4:33-35

This man was in the synagogue and fell to the ground because he had a deceiving spirit. Jesus rebuked the evil spirit and the demon that was in him came out and the man was set free. The Spirit of God lifts the person up and makes him happy. The antiHoly Spirit makes the person fall, be oppressed and ashamed.

  1. This doctrine of "falling in the spirit" is the cancer inside the churches today; and lack of wisdom, understanding is opening wide doors to it. If we just use our intelligence - who wants to fall? But people needs "to feel" something even if it is something bad and the devil takes advantage of it.
