"Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons…" I Timothy 4.1
As in the example of Lord Jesus, the Holy Spirit also warns that in the last days, due to obeying the antiholy spirits and their demonic doctrines, some will abandon the pure and simple faith. Hence the reason many spin like spinning tops and are thrown to the ground in a violent manner. The exterior of their lives show the hell that goes on inside them.
That is so true and is nowadays becoming a reality people are falling in the traps of the devil with small things like making money thier God and pleasing friends by doing wrong rather than pleasing God and losing all that seems appealing.
