The tongue

“And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity. The tongue is so set among our members that it defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire by hell.” James 3.6

To play with the tongue is to play with fire. The good or evil that it speaks actually happens. You need to have the mind of the Lord Jesus not to speak foolish and poisonous things. The power of the tongue is so great that the Holy Spirit teaches us that if anyone wants to love their life and see happy days, they must control their tongue not to speak evil things, especially of people.

  1. I was just thinking about how many times I have said something that wasn't necessary or something that was not profitable at all. Truly our tongue can be a snare for us, it is so strange how we can praise with our tongue and the next day we can bad mouth someone with it again. Thank you Mrs Esther, I don't normally read you blog. But it is a blessing because its simply the Word of God being explained in a simple and straight forward way.

    God Bless,

I remember that many times i was using my tongue with not good things or can't glorify God by it!It was a great Blessing that now i learned how to control it..because it can also be a reason or can lead us to hell if we do not control it by ourselves and the help of the Holy Spirit inside of us!
    thank u Mrs Ester!

This is very true we have to be carefull with what we say and here goes what we have been spoken in the last couple of days, we have to think!!... We have to think carefully before we speak. We haveto think if what are we going to say is going to help others or if it is going to beproductive to others!!!!..
Thank you for sharing this with us!!!!...
