RULE OVER IT

"...sin lies at the door. And its desire is for you, but you should rule over it."Genesis 4.7
God has given us the faith to overcome, and above all to rule over the spirit of sin that lies at the door. Sin is a spirit. Those who are wise and prudent will always be careful not to submit to it.

    Amen, that is why God gave us armour, the strongest being His word, we should use His word to cancel every form of evil or negativity or temptation that comes our way. However this takes a lot of wisdom. To be able to use the word of God, we need to know it. Meditate on it day and night, get an understanding of it. Just the way Jesus responded to Satan when he was trying to tempt Him in the desert.

    Indeed God has given us faith to overcome the world, evil try to intimidate us every day, but with faith in God we are able to rule over it. Our Lord Jesus overcame the world and He gave us authority to rule over sin. And we Children of God should possess this attitude within us. To be rules

    Hi Mrs Ester

    God has given His spirit to overcome, no matter how difficult the problems are in front of us.

    We also need to walk in the light of God, becuase sin always will knock at our door, to prevent it we have to be steadfast in our faith and relationship with God, we can not give sin a loop hole in our life.

    Hi Mrs. Ester, that is true. The ones that are born of God will be tempted but also will have the strength to overcome it, to rule over it.

    Although at times we are tempted to do what is wrong we do have the option to give in or not, we can rule over it.

    AMEN! God gave us His Spirit to guide us and to overcome all the obstacles that come our way because He knew that alone it would be impossible. Therefore it is very important that all of us be sealed with the Holy Spirit.

    That is the power man was given, to rule over everything. but we don't recognise that power inside us to step upon sin.

    Amen, God has given us power and authority to rule over sin, The Lord said those who are born of God they will overcome the world therefore we must not give into the ways of the enemy instead we must thrive to put down the enemy and keep walking in the ways of God.

    Sin knocks at the door of each and every person but it is up to an individual to master it. For us to flee away from sin we should rule over it. And the only way to rule over it is when we have the spirit of God which gives us strength to overcome temptations.

    I always ask God to give me the strength to over come sin but I only started to overcome it when I decided to reject it or the idea of sin straight away. God gave me the power to overcome it and I do not intend to put His power which was given to me to waste.

    Sin is sometimes overrated. many people give sin power and believe that its something that is really hard or cannot be overcome. From my experience I believe that we do have that power to resist or stay away from sin but the reason why we fall or end up committing that sin is not because we are weak and that particualar sin is stronger than us but its because the individual enjoys or still has that desire to do that sin. The person is not really ready to completely surrender and trust in God. We have the faaith to rule it so lets conquer!

    Yes Mrs Ester! we can't continue living in sin and claim to belong to God. Sin is a spirit that does not come from God, and if we keep on sinning/ live in sin, there is no how we can have communion with God..

    what i've notice is that many of us undermine the authority that GOD has given us.in order for me to overcame satan i have to be spirity because he is spirity.
