"...but seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you." Matthew 6.33Those who have an emotional faith want to solve their personal problems first. It is the law of faith of the heart.
The kingdom of God and His Justice come second.
This is the reason why there are so many slaves, but very few children of Abraham; many believers, but very few born of the Holy Spirit.

That's so true Mrs ester the kingdom of God normally comes second but first we want blessings we are seeking the blessings but not the blesser and by so doing we end up loosing everything because we don't have a solid foundation of wich is faith..thank you for this blessed message

ReplyDeleteHow many times have we read from this verse and it clearly states what we should do first but to many people the kingdom of God comes first only when it suits them, that is when their hearts tell them so that's why there is no progress in the life's of many so called Christians.Our priorities must be straight the kingdom of God first and everything else will follow.

ReplyDeleteI agree with you Mrs Ester,sometimes people try to solve their problems or bring problems to their lives without consulting God first and when they get stuck then that's when they turn to God and say to God how could he has let such things happen to them when they work or believe in him, but the fact is that we need to put God first in all we do and good things will follow as he has promised us,we live by the word of promise that the Lord Jesus Christ left for us and that's the spirit.

ReplyDeleteGod is great, if we seek him first and forget about our-self, he as said it what ever we ask in is name it shall be given on to us, some time we miss out by waiting to solve our personal problems first, if we want life and life in abundantly we must seek the holy spirit first so that we would not be a slave to this world.

Many people try to solve their problems on their own or by their own strength.
They end up making the situation or problem alot worse than making it better for themselves.
They fail to realise that they must consult God in whatever they do. God must be put first in whatever situation we go through.
The word of God is truth, God will always honour those who put him first.
the word of God states: "but first seek the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you"
Our heart is wicked and deceitful we must never allow our heart to take control of our mind.
We must all meditate and put into practice this verse from his word.

Mrs Ester, A lot of us are guilty of this, I came to the church beause I wanted God to help me where no one else could, but I realised early that I must surrender myself to him first and sacrifice my own desires for God to honor me, and as you know it is not easy especialy when you are new to the church and have lived one way for so long. God is truly great and nothing is impossible for him to do, he said we should ask him and it shall be given, but we have to be patience we might not get it when we want but it will happen in God's time, putting him first in everything we do is very important.

ReplyDeleteWe are slaved in our sufferings because we live by emotions. We make decisions based on our feelings, our own strengths. We have to seek God first, put Him first in everything and He will help us stop living by emotions, will renew our minds and live by faith!

I personally believe that there are blessings that God would give you easily only him know why, but there are some that He requests you to change and in order for you to change you have to seek your kingdom (knowledge). And the reason why he commands us that, is not to be hard on us but to teach us and prepare us to received and keep our blessings. No father or mother would give our 14 years old son a Mercedes to drive and allow a daughter to get married at the age of 12, because we well know what will happen next. The see process happens to our Father in Heaven: He cannot give us a blessing unless we are fully prepared to look after and maintain the blessing. God is wise and I will admire him every single day of my life.
