"Look to Abraham your father, And to Sarah who bore you;For I called him alone, and blessed him and increased him.” Isaiah 51.2Abraham symbolizes the Lord God, Isaac symbolizes Jesus and the spirit - or faith - that moved Abraham to sacrifice his dream was the Spirit of God. Nobody in their right mind would subject themselves to obey the Word of God unconditionally, without being moved by the Holy Spirit.

ReplyDeleteMrs Ester, i have never seen it in this point of view.Yes Abraham is our father like God is our father,and Isaac does symbolizes the Lord Jesus, because of him Abraham was able to exercise his faith to prove to God that he depend on Him in the same way, When we exercise our faith in Jesus name we put our trust in God to show Him that we depend on Him. Thank you for this word.I have learned something new.
