“But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall.” Matthew 7.26-27
The problems faced by the prudent are similar to those of a fool. The difference is that the prudent is unshakable, stands firm forever, whereas the fool cannot stand it and collapses. Worse: great is his fall. The ruin goes beyond physical loss, but concerns to the loss of his soul.
What I got from this verse is that when we really want something done it takes more time and effort to get the best finished result, For me it is the same as those who follow Jesus... Once they place Him as their foundation, whatever the devil may try to bring to make them fall, they will overcome because they built their House on a rock

ReplyDelete"I waited patiently for the Lord, and He inclined to me and heard my cry." (Psalm 40.1)
Trust is a virtue very few people possess. This is why very few people are also saved. Those who trust in God's promises aren't shaken by the storms. Instead, they wait patiently for their blessings because they trust that He who promised them is faithful and does not fail.
Thank you for the message Mrs Ester, indeed those who do not invest in their faith and relationship with God will fall when the winds and the storms come their way, therefore we need to invest in our faith and take mighty care of our souls through His word.
ReplyDeleteTrust God and surrender everything to Him, our all in all,be righteous, obey His Word and surely whatever tribulations may come as long as we are standing on a solid foundation we will never be shaken, stumbled or perished, for we are holding on to God`s protection and power.

Thank you Mrs Ester
ReplyDeleteSharing with us this strong message, when I dont do the will of God I am a lost sheep . Problems will come but if I dont have a strong foundation I will fall .
I have read this verse and even sang the song at school but until now it went over my head. I recognize that this verse definitely applies to me, because many times I seek for a response from God...then I do nothing. To be honest at first it caught my attention because it would mean that I am a fool but secondly because I didn't build my life upon Gods word sooner or later my life (both spiritual and material) will crumble
