Purified faith

"In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials, that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ"           1 Peter 1.6-7
Persecution, infamy, injustice, misunderstanding and everything else that we suffer because of our faith in Jesus are part of our trials. They may feel cruel and unjust, but it matures faith for salvation of the soul. Were it not so, surely the Spirit of God would not allow us to go through it.

  1. Hello Mrs Ester, when we go through the most toughest periods of our life it shows us who we are and what our character is truly like. Trials happen to test our faithfulness to God and it is upto us to decide what we will do when things do not go our way. I can say that I seem to get discouraged when trials happen sometimes I feel that it is unjust, However I understand that trials enable me to become moulded into something stronger and mature in my faith. In other words the trial happens in order to prepare for a victory. I need to also ask God to help me to react with determination and boldness when trials come.

  2. Thanks Mrs Ester for this word of faith. Our faith has to be tested, but I pray during trial may we be found faithful in the Lord Jesus Christ, some time during the period one is going through trial, it can be very painful but one have to remain in the Lord
Our God is good he will never let our foots to be move.

  3. Thanks for this post Mrs Ester & for reminding me of this verse. What I have realised in this past month is that we should not allow ourselves to be grieved by these trials but rather strive for these trials or difficult times to mould us (to refine us), as it is through them that we become stronger, we can draw closer to God & draw away from using purely our own strength. I have been leaning not to worry anymore but just to endure, perservere, determine postive things & to trust in God. If we have & continue to do our part, SO WILL HE! It is just a matter of time. But we must ensure that we dont stop or slow down in doing what we have to do.

  4. Indeed all that we go through in this life even our Lord Jesus went through the same thing even worse than we are going through. If we rejected He was also rejected,if we are been misunderstood He was also. Then we need to hold on to Him and He will make us to pass through this unharm but being purified. Praise God.

  5. That is so true Mrs. Ester. I can testified of this, after all the trials I have gone through indeed was not in vain, because it made me more mature in my faith and turn me into a woman, I don't ever regret going through this trials because God enabled me to overcome each battle I went through.

  6. many times we don't understand why God tells us to rejoice at those moments of suffering. But that's when I remember that I lost my life to start living :). Daise
