"In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise." Ephesians 1.13
The children of sin should not be deceived into thinking that Paul meant that the seal of the Holy Spirit is for everyone.
Instead, the anointing of the Spirit of Promise is for those who converted from the injustice to God's righteousness.
When the children of Israel left Egypt, they had the power of the Spirit in the Promise. But only those who are born of the Spirit carry the power of the Spirit of Promise inside.
Hello Mrs Ester, this just makes it simple in terms of in the way we choose to live. We can really recieve the promise when we convert 100% our mindset and stick to what he requires us to do. I can not rely on myself and need the aid from God to recieve his spirit. A self analysis should be done to find out what could be the hold backs of not recieving this promiseand chaging my ways. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteThe Holiness of the Lord will only come upon us when we are truly,totally in submission to Him.Repentance and inward change should convey, free from all radicals of sinful nature.The want,the longing and desire to follow Him should be well known with a sincere heart and the willingness to obey.Then after then we are ready and able to ask God for His great blessing of the promise of His Spirit.

The spirit of promise can only live in those who have entirely surrendered to Christ and those who still live in sin regardless of knowing the truth should not be deceived in thinking they are indebted to receive His spirit.
ReplyDeleteThis is very true there are times when i thought how comes i gave my tithe and offering to God and yet i see nothing in my financial life . First i realised that i wasn't taking action and second i didn't give GOD all of me but half of me i wasn't fully comitted to him so how would i have been able to receive the spirit of promise if i never gave him all of me ? Until i realise that the spirit of promise does not want Half of me nor does He want to share me, He wants all of me!
