Answer

"Those by the wayside are the ones who hear; then the devil comes and takes away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved."
 Luke 8.12

The devil can steal the Word of the heart because, despite hearing it, the person still did not care, they were not interested, they despised it and gave it no value. They did not care for it because, in their eyes, it wasn't that important. Who would neglect a precious jewel?
For each four people who hears the word, at least one of them despises it.

  1. The word of God is truely precious once we get we need to treasure it and then put it into practise. When we hear and do what God tells us to do we grow.

Thank you for the comment, it is food for thoughts to know that among those who hear the word, there is one who will despise.

Those who believe hear the word of God and put it into practice immediately and that makes the devil powerless in their lives

    Thank you Mrs Ester

    1. Dear Mrs Ester,
It is true, when the person listen the word of God and don't put it into practice
that person give a place for the devil to put inside of his heart doubts and fear
taking out the good things that is the word of God.

it is the truth is all about hearing the word practice it because without doing that we give satan a chance to sweep away this precious seed that is planted in us....so we really need to take care and never despise what God is giving us.

  6. Dear Mrs. Ester,

Thank you for sharing the word of Life with us.

It is vital to prepare ourselves before reading the word of God by praying and being in Spirit. God does not make us fertile soil, we have to be willing to be that, by removing all wordly distractions whether we are reading in the church service or at home. Most importantly we need to remember what we read and the message we recieved in the service and also examine how we have used the Word.

The Word of God is Life, those who despise it will perish but those who embrace it like a jewel will live.

  7. Another thing i have learned is that when God's Word is received with emotion, its like the word that fell by the wayside because when the emotion is no longer present, the belief in the Word also disappears.
Therefore we must always receive the Word of God with Faith.

  8. As long the person has done his or her part they should believe. No matter how long the answer will take. Otherwise the thief will come and steal what was planted in the heart and then there will be disappointment and the end.

  9. Thank you Mrs Ester for sharing.

We have to gaurd our hearts, so we don't loose the jewel that God is giving to us. The devil finds opportunities to steal the word of God from us. It is a precious gift that needs to be taken care of.

The word of God is light and those who accept it, Accept light, they obey God. The Word of God is a good seed and when it planted in the heart it surely bares good fruit. When God has conquered ones heart, the Devil looses. 'The fear of the Lord is the begin of wisdom' as the bible say'; when one fear the lord to obey God won't be a burden. When we believe God takes charge and the Devil is put in shame.

Thank you Mrs Ester for sharing, May God bless you

  12. The word of God is a precious jewel, many people go to the church and hear the word and say this was not for me, was there for him and despise the word that was given by the Holy Spirit.
