Afflictions

"These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” John 16.33
There's no other way, those who want to follow the Lord Jesus cannot expect flowers in this world. There is no avoiding hardship when trying to practice the Word of God. Escaping the afflictions is like putting the cross aside, satisfying the flesh and not following the Lord Jesus. Is this what you want?

  1. Hi Mrs.Ester. In order for me to Follow Jesus, i have to sacrifice by denying my own will and do what He tells me, it will not be easy but when we depend and trust Him, there's no hard, for us to do it. kisses! Thank you for sharing Mrs.Ester.

  2. Hi Mrs.Ester,

Yes, there's no other way but to deny ourselves, take up our cross and follow Him. Living a life of sacrifice isn't easy, we have to break ourselves daily and say no to the desires of own flesh/will. God sees it all, and He knows our hearts, when we choose to follow Him and abandoned our own desires, He will be our strength from within for us to overcome here on earth just as he overcame...for it is not about us anymore, it's about God.

    Thank you Mrs.Ester! kisses!

  3. Dear Mrs Ester
Thank you for the message you said it all and I don't want this to happen to me. If this is to carry my cross then I am ready to carry my cross and overcome as my Lord Overcame.

    God bless

  5. Hi Mrs. Ester!

Our afflictions are nothing comparing with Jesus' afflictions, but He overcame everything. Those who truly want to follow God must face the hardships, like Jesus did. I agree with you that there is no shortcut to our salvation. Every day is a spiritual battle against our own selves. The true follower of the Lord Jesus DOES NOT do her own will but God's will be done. Thank you! God bless you!
