"My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me." John 10.27
What characterizes the relationship between shepherd and sheep is the shepherd's voice. No sheep from a certain flock follows the voice of a shepherd of another flock.
It was common that several shepherds would gather their respective flocks to drink from the same stream. But once their thirst was quenched, each sheep would follow the voice of their respective pastors.
The followers of the Good Shepherd, hear His voice and follow Him. That is, obey.

Hi Mrs.Ester. We can only be called a real sheep when we truly obey the Shepherd. The Shepherd want the best for His sheep, He doesn't want His sheep to go to the wrong place that's why He always guide Hid sheep, He do all He can to protect His sheep but its up to the sheep to obey His Shepherd! Hi Mrs.Ester, The real sheep knows the voice of His Shepherd , and The sheep follow all the commands of The Shepherd because the sheep knows that The Shepherd will always protect, guide him in the right path, the real sheep that belongs to the Shepherd is the Obedient one.

ReplyDeleteWe are the sheep of whoever we follow - God or satan.
Although the sheep of God lives together with the unbelievers, that person can hear His voice inside her and obey Him no matter what. There is a voice inside that person that tells her not to do something because it is wrong or it is displeasing in God's eyes, and she obey that voice even though it means going against the crowd.

And this is very important, we must not be deceived, we must stay close to the Shepherd no matter what, wherever He leads us. He will be with us and will never leave, let's always have our eyes on our Shepherd.
