Self-control

"For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace." Romans 6.14
This is another advantage of those who are born of the Spirit, which makes the difference between those who are and those who are not of God: sin has no dominion over them. In other words, they are not under the power of the spirit of sin. They will only sin if they want to, for the fruit of the Holy Spirit is self-control.

  1. In life we will go through many experiences of temptations but in those moments we will truely see our character, Mrs Ester I definetely agree with what you said if you sin it is because we wanted too. Everyone in this world knows that if we are about to do something wrong our conscience will accuse us beforehand, whether being a christian or not, we have freewill. But thank God for the Holy spirit because he will even warn us about the consequences of our actions and give us the wisdom to do what's right.

  2. I agree completely. God is truly the only one that warns us about the consequences of what we are going to do. But yet the devil on the other hand does not , he just illustrates the satisfaction that it will bring but not that of which we will lose. Those born of Him will truly overcome unless they decide to obey their own flesh and in consequence lose their salvation.

  3. Self control is something that we should overcome completely for that is where the devil will use to temped us. Anything that he desire to make us fall into sin, so he will use everything to deceive us .If we gain self control naturally , we can always be victorious in all temptations for we know that when God give us the grace ,the greatest gift, which is the Holy Spirit within us , He will guide us in everything and the wisdom , the knowledge , and that the devil is an absolute liar, a deceiver
