Friend

" And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, 'Abraham believed God, and it wasaccounted to him for righteousness.' And he was called the friend of God."
James 2: 23

Faith in practice makes a person justified, pure, and worthy of divine blessings. This is so because faith is nothing more than dependence on God. That's why Abraham was God's friend.

  4. Thanks for your daily inspiring messages Mrs. Ester!
Dependence of God makes us close to Him in every way and that makes us His friend! In order for that to happen we must have faith and put it into action! Depending on God every instance of our lives, every single day requires that faith since many times we go through situations where it is easier to just upon what we see around us instead of depending on Him by faith.

  6. Dear Mrs Esther this is a very strong message. God is giving us the opportunity to be able to be His friend. Of course not everyone can be satisfied with it, few actually. I believe only those who proves your faithfulness and dependence to Him , is the one who does not live by circunstances of life, but who lives founded on rock that is the Lord Jesus and not fall apart even with the wind or the storm. Thank you for having shared this message with us.

  10. Saying we have faith is one thing, proving it through our actions is another. I think that a person who believes in God will be just one more believer until he or she truly puts their faith to the test, proving to God that they're depending on Him because that's when they become a "partner" or as the bible says of Abraham, a "friend" of God's.

  11. Many times we expect to be justified by our holiness. We think that because we are holy, we live a righteous life, we deserve to receive God's blessings, without fighting and applying our faith to conquer them. But, as we see with the example of Moses, whom God considered a friend, but when he failed to believe in God, God declared that he wouldn't enter the promised land. When he stopped believing, his friendship with God became compromised. We are only justified before God by our faith.

  12. When we depend on God and do and live his will.
That’s what Abraham did, and he is a true example for us to live by.
Faith makes us closer to God…
