Hear and keep

"Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it; for the time is near."
Revelation 1: 3

The prophetic words aren't just knowledge. They're to be put in practice, otherwise, there's no use in knowing them. In this case, reading, hearing, and keeping the prophecies from Revelations keeping vigilance of your soul's salvation, trusting that these promises will be fulfilled soon.

  1. It's true what you said about how there's no use in just knowing the Bible if we don't practice it. Practicing it is what will allow us to see changes we need, and even better, to keep our salvation. The devil himself is a perfect example of how simply knowing the Bible is not enough...

  2. It has happened quite often to me that I read the Word of God, feel inspired by it and keep it with me. There were times that I thought that was enough, I was on the right track, but without practising that Word, it adds no value to my life. It is just good knowledge that I acquired, which will add nothing. Not practising the Word of God is a wasted opportunity to enrich my life.

  3. This also has happened many times with me. Just because we're in the church, attending the services, we think we're fulfilling our spiritual responsability, when in reality, this means nothing if we don't keep it and put into practice day by day in our lives. I've learnt that we can stay in the church for our whole life, but if we don't allow the Word of God be part of us, we are wasting time.

  7. We can never known the blessings that God has prepared for us if we do not know His word and keep it, this is why the devil works to steal the word of God from people because they are life and blessings to those who keep. True Mrs Ester we need to put His words into practice showing that we believe!

  8. If one says oh I know the bible, but doesn’t practice it, they will never see the power of God in their lives. For us to know God and benefit from him we must meditate and live his word.

  9. True knowing that it's written in the Bible and not practicing it won't help us with our salvation instead we must listen and put it to practice.
