Jesus SAW the faith of those men. How does one see faith? Through attitudes, behavior, action, obedience to an assurance within... In other words, it has nothing to do with feelings or anything of the sort. When there's true faith, there are practical results.
This has really helped me. Whilst reading this the first thing i understood is that it doesn't mean anything if you agree with every word in the Bible, if you agree with any preaching or maybe even if you have a prayerful life. What causes God to pay attention to your faith is what you do.
