Begotten

"The LORD has said to Me, ‘You are My Son, today I have begotten You."
Psalms 2:7
The belief in God involves much more than a simple belief in His existence. What's the use of believing if one doesn't have a relationship with Him? This is only possible when one is born of His Spirit. Only then will He call him His son.

  1. Hi Mrs Ester,
It is not enough to just believe in God by words. Just as God proved His love for us by giving the Lord Jesus as a sacrifice for our sin, so we must surrender our lives to Him and be born of Him- when we have this relationship with, He is proud to call us His Sons(and daughters).

  2. I learnt that it is not only by saying 'I believe in God' that we actually believe in Him! Many words come out of our mouth but literally on 25% is what we truly mean. The only way we can truly know Him is through the Holy Spirit, because those who have the Holy Spirit are those who are of Him. Without that communion and relationship God cannot speak to us, change us, help us in the way He would love to. When we have this bond with Him we automatically belong to Him, and from that day and hour onwards we become His children!

  3. what i have learnt is that we should believe in God no matter what people say about Him. when you have an encounter with God nothing will separate me from God because i know Him. You cannot say you are a re born of someone you do not know and you cannot really say you are related to Him if you are not born of Him. We can only be God's children when we have an encounter with him. for his word say if a person does not have the spirit of Christ does not belong to Him.
