In search of self satisfaction through all kinds of entertainment, people have ignored the existence of God, and with that destroying one self and others around them.
How true this is. Its so very disheartening to hear that a person once full of faith has allowed the world to lure him/her away from God. The world has truly nothing to offer us, God has it all. True Life.

ReplyDeletewhat i understood for myself is that when we take our eyes of God, because those who believe don’t really judge the existence of God, but what could happen to them is that the things of the world might slowly catch their eyes which leads to them taking their eyes away from God, they slowly start to see things physically rather than spiritually and this affects them in a negative way. They end up leaving the church and forgetting all about God, especially the times when God has blessed them by their very own faith! I learnt for myself to always look to God, to always see things with my spiritual eyes rather than my physical. To those who see open their eyes to seeing things physically, allow their self satisfaction to over-rule God, they want to be entertained and esteemed by the people and things of the world. Some may know and some may not know the destruction that they will face in the long run, it will not only affect them but also those around them, for example their family and others.

ReplyDeleteThis is a sad reality that people destroy their life because they want to please themselves and ignore God's existence. however we shouldn't do the same, God is the one who provides for us all that we have. we should strive to please Him with our lives because we are nothing without Him.

ReplyDeleteThis true people tend to take of their lives and their personal goal and forget about God. Not knowing that neglect God can bring destruction to their lives, that is, the devil. The devil loves a person who self-centred as this was the reason that he was expelled from the kingdom of God. God and the devil have one thing in common that is they both want our souls. When we are in search of self satisfaction we tend to turn away from doing good, our mind and hearts become corrupt and forget that God exists and that we must please Him with our lives. When we want to do things by our own strength we tend to fail but when we put God first and allow him to work in our lives we overcome the world. Thank you Mrs Ester for the word of faith

ReplyDeleteAfter meditating on this message I have learnt that emptiness without God leads to no satisfaction or maybe only a temporary happiness. Without the presence of God you will be completely lost, because your life is not in his hands. That is why we must do our best to remain with him.
when we lose focus on God, thats when we want to find things to fill us forgetting that only God can fill us. so then we start thinking that we are living life where as we are just destroying ourselves. in God there is life, at times we are distracted by the shiny things of this world but we forget that not all things that shine are gold.

what i understood is that we do not have to say directly that we do not believe in God but by our action alone says if you are sincere. For example spending time reading our bible but instead we watch t.v for hours, this is just temporary happiness for our flesh.

ReplyDeleteSomething that was once said to me is that we could have everything in this world but if we do not have God we will be empty. Our lives will never see true fulfilment, satisfaction or rest as even when we reach our highest goals we will still want more and we will still lack, become board and never gain satisfaction. It is sad to think that because some people deny God that they will never see His glory in their lives and will never be fulfilled nor have true inner contentment or peace. I myself can relate to this as before I had the opportunity to know God properly and not as a religion, I had achieved what I wanted to achieve career wise, independence, able to provide for myself etc. I did not realise how empty I was and that their is so much more to life, nor did I understand what it truly meant to be fulfilled permanently and not in things that are perishable.

ReplyDeleteWe shouldn't lose our faith in God when we see that the blessings are not coming fast enough. We have to be strong and not get discourage when we see our situation. We have to have faith in God no matter what.

It's true that people just push God to the side and try forgetting about Him so that they don't feel guilty when pleasing themselves. This is wrong. It's as if they are disregarding God's existence and frankly they are fools for doing this.
