The Holy Trinity was identified through the baptism of the Lord Jesus. In that moment, the Holy Spirit came in the form of a dove, and landed on His head. The same happens today with those who are born of God. They're involved by the Spirit of God and then made into Children of God.
Its such a privelge to know that when i have the Holy spirit i am know as a child of God Woow i belong to a great family. More reason why i should seek him all the more

Wow this is powerful because in this passage we see that Jesus only became a child of God when the Holly Spirit came upon him. and we also become children of God when we do the will of GOD and we became BORN OF HIM.

Even those who have the Holy Spirit, but do not do what they are supposed to do which is to obey and listen to God's soft voice will not be recognized as children of God. This is why I am looking to renew the Holy Spirit in me.
ReplyDeleteJesus Himself obeyed his Father, God, even when Jesus knew that His over all well being was going to be fine in case He did not want to sacrifice His life. Because after all, He is the legitimate Son of God and He could do what He wanted to do, but He obeyed to show us that we must obey God. We are all His creatures, and become legally adopted after being baptized with the Holy Spirit. And to keep the Holy Spirit, we need to obey Him to gain salvation.
