Firm thought


“Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.” Philippians 4:8 

In order to go against the feelings of the soul, we need to walk against the flow of this dark world.
Dirty thoughts, which oppose God’s thoughts, arise because of the media as a whole.
Therefore, keep your mind clean from evil thoughts, which you usually get from bad companies, by doing a spring cleaning everyday, and don’t get yourself involved with dirty entertainment.
Read the Bible to its fullness. This is the recipe to keep your thoughts pure.

    it's true when we walk with bad companies we turn bad and we get weak to serve God.

    to be honest usually we when bad thoughts yes we tie it up which is the right thing to do but something that people at times dont pay attention to is "read the bible to its fullness as this is the recipe to keep your thoughts pure"

    yeah, this is a spiritual habit that we have to acquire. It is so easy for our minds to be distracted with entertainment, advertisements etc... so it is nescessary for us to place our minds on the things that are spiritual.This has to become a lifestyle for us.

    I was thinking about the 21 Days Fasting. Although it ended yesterday, we can still apply certain aspects to our daily life from now on even though we return to secular media. The movies that cause us to sin, the gossip pages in the magazines and newspapers, the colleagues or classmates that swear, gossip and use filthy language, music with certain lyrics and mssages...its a must to avoid these things - and focus more on the Word of God more than we were before.

    thought are one of my daily battle which the more I fight the more it comes to me, but I am going to take your advice and spring cleaning my mind everyday and fight hard to mediate on the word of God more.

    Through meditation we develop a relationship, we implement something in our intelligence that cannot be taken away as it is something that no one can physically touch or see so the strength of it is even more... There is only so much a jealous person can do to destroy you, they can persecute you spiritually, they can do the things that will hurt you the most but you if you have searched your mind and meditated on those things that occured to you or that the bible said then you have that knowledge and assurance inside, who can touch it? As indeed you control it because it is your fruit that you beared and by doing this you built your strength and guard you.
