Persevere in the faith means giving up our own
will to do the will of the One who saved us. It’s a battle. He who keeps
overcoming his flesh until death will be the one who overcomes. And only he who
overcomes will have the privilege of taking possession of eternal life.
We must deny ourselves daily. That in itself is a battle despite all the others we have to face.
ReplyDeleteI always ask God to give me strength to be able to persevere, because I know it is not easy.
It is very important to overcome our will our own desires sometimes is hard but if we ask God to give us streght everyday we will overcome because there is nothing more important in this life like SALVATION.

Thanky you for this! I tend to worry that I am full of mistakes, and how an earth I could ever conquer my salvation, but as you mentioned, I have to keep overocoming my flesh (perservering), and he who does will be the one who overcomes.

ReplyDeleteWhen the pastor is preaching at church it is important that we listen to what the man of God is saying and obey at the same time. The devil will use every kind of distraction for us not to listen.

ReplyDeleteThere is times when we need to stop doing what we want to do because we are letting our flesh overcome us but we have to overcome our flesh and doing what god wants us to do .
ReplyDeleteIt's not enough just to say you except the Lord as your saviour. We have to deny our flesh daily. It is a constant fight but it's not impossible.
