"Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing, but a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised." Proverbs 31.30Being beautiful and valued by her husband, children and friends is what the woman of this world wants the most.
However, the woman of the Kingdom of God lives to serve her Lord. Her goal is not to receive honor, but to honor Him with her life.
This has to be something that really helps all the time. Sometimes as women we're so concerned with our exterior that we forget the most important thing. Trust and fear if the Lord is all we need. As I always say, "Put Gid first and everything else falls in to place".

In the world, we seek 'physical' beauty and acceptance from others around us. But with God it is very different and we must put Him first in everything we do.

ReplyDeleteThat is true. God doesn't want us to focus on our outward beauty which is only temporary but on our hearts. He wants us to keep our hearts right with Him and give glory to Him in all that we do, contrary to what the world teaches.

ReplyDeleteI remember myself since back then before I came to met God in UCKG Philippines, thinking about this verse whenever I see the girls of the world. This verse strengthens me and made me move forward and go ahead in pursuing God in my life! Going against the girls of the world! and now, I am still fighting yet but I am Happy about the fact that I overcame that point in my life and is right now still in the Presence of God, seeking Him more and more in my life!

Sometimes we ladies look for outside validation to determine our worth and we forget that it is God who gave us our beauty and worth. He made us beautiful inside and out. Our only concern is to fear the Lord and submit to Him. Our outer beauty will fade but we will always be Beautiful to Him and no one will value us more than Him.

ReplyDeleteOne of the many virtues of a V-women is looking above and beyond what is exterior and is more concerned about honouring her Lord than being a people pleaser. I believe a true man of God looking for a women of God will value this more than her outward beauty which as the Bible says passes away.

ReplyDeleteThankyou for the message , It is true that beauty really fades away as you get older but the beauty inside matters most and only few woman in the world who are like the one in the Proverbs who honours GOD in everything she do.This message helps us to change willingly for better and become this woman of the kingdom of God.
Being beautiful cant last for all of our lives and shouldn't be our main priority. is important to be spiritually well. Everybody can see when you are beautiful or charming even if it is deceitful but when that fades what more gave you to offer? God sees us inside and out and even if all fades on the outside, He will still see our beauty.

After all, He said seek me first and everything else will follow. And I believe if we seek Him with all our hearts we will not need the beauty of the world! As we will have Him inside of us! and He will shine through.
