BELIEVERS, BUT NOT CHRISTIANS

"For My people are foolish, they have not known Me. They are silly children and they have no understanding. They are wise to do evil, but to do good they have no knowledge."Jeremiah 4.22
The pain suffered by God the Father because of the rebellious children of Israel in the past, is the same pain suffered by God the Son with the rebellious believers of the present.
Most believers call themselves Christians because it's convenient. They consider Jesus their Savior, but not their Lord. They rather obey their heart, instead of the Word of God. They are wise, clever and stubborn when it comes to evil, but not for what is good.

It's true, unfortunately many people are living this way in the churches, they think they are serving God, when in fact are masters of their own will.
    May God Bless You

  2. Hi Mrs. Ester, it is very easy to say that Jesus is the Savior. The hard is to allow Him to be the true Master and Lord and put aside all flesh desires and wills. God bless you

  3. Hi Ms Ester,

I agree many believe in God but dont want to do what is required of them to actually be a Christian because to be a Christian is not a title but it is to follow Christ, to be like Christ. And I'm sure that God is not only in pain because people are rebellious but he must also feel pain because these are the people who are posing as examples and if they are not giving a good testimony they may be preventing others from coming to Him.

    Thanks for the post

  6. Hello Mrs Ester
Your message gives me deep sadness. When you think how God loves us so much, wants to take care of us, give us everything we need and we never surrender and turn with our all to him. How painful it must be for God as our loving father.
The pain is similar to the one, one feels when you love and want to have a relationship with someone. You want to take care of the person and give them what they need and the person is interested in someone else who cannot give them what you can.
Or a parent who does everything even sacrifices their own life to bring up the child with discipline, good moral standards, sets out good rules and principles. The child leaves home and starts following things of the world, doing all the wrong things and everything the parent suffered and sacrificed for them was for nothing. It brings the parents and family name to shame.
That is the same thing that happens when we disobey and are rebellious towards God. We are the black sheep of the children of God. The devil uses that to laugh and points at us and says to God, they call themselves Christians and they do not look like yours. It puts God to shame, just like how prosperous a parent with a Godly name is put to shame when their child drops out of school, or does drugs, steals, etc.

  7. Dear Mrs Ester,
Thank you for this message I learnt a lot from it. I leanrt that the pain God suffers is from having children that are rebelious. I am not a parent yet but i can imagine the pain God must be going through to create a person in His own image, brings that person to light and redeem his soul after all that this person or son rebel against His Word. That is a pain amongst other pains. I have to be really careful and consider my ways when it comes to obeying the word of God because not doing the word of God is a form of rebelion itsself.

I also agree, There's nothing so disappointed for parents than children who are rebellious,it would not be different with God.Because parents hopes to be proud of their children so that they can say these are my children, and unfortunately God can't say so about many who call themselves Christians, so sad...

  9. Many people tend to take things lightly like being a Christain, you need to be one and live according to god word and his alone

  10. Action speak louder than words, the word Christain should'nt be something to breg about but it should be a testimony to other's who are not of the same faith

    dear mrs ester
i have learn that we dont have to deceive ourselve saying that we are chidren of god but we allow feeling and emotion which is our heart to rule us

  12. Being a Christain it is about representing God and we tend to forget that and represent ourselves about it is not about that, It is living to the expectetion of God not anyone else.

  13. That is so true. The heart is so deceitful, so dangerous. We need to begin to follow reasoning rather that emotions because emotions are products of the heart and they are only temporary. We need to really think about what is is to serve God and who He is in our lives and begin to serve Him as He deserves. Lets give our lives to Him, we were created for His glory, not for self-glory.

  14. Dear Mrs Ester, this is so true... it is easy to fall for the desires of the heart, and there is a big difference between those who say to be christians and those who live according to the Christian faith. May God bless you.

This is a melody that most people dance "i am a christian" but those people they are not practicing the principles of God.That is total Hypocrisy because the mouth says another thing and the actions say another thing. In other words most of the people they are preaching what they don't practice.

  16. As soon as you accept Jesus as your Lord and savior doing His will and obeying his commands happens naturally its not a duty or a rule to follow

  17. unfortunately there are many who are just believers and aren't actually true Christians. These are the people who accept Jesus but yet they do not make Him their Lord. They are there own masters. They lie sometimes for 'good' reasons, they are hypocrites and they give a bad name to Christianity. Those of us who not only accept Jesus but also understand He is our Lord, we put Him first not ourselves.

  19. 'Christianity' today is like a fashion, everybody is a 'christian'. I have learnt that to be a true christian is all about sacrifice, its not easy but its worth it... This also includes humbleness. Thank you for this message

  20. Hi Mrs Ester
It’s funny because when I read about the people of God when they were in Egypt I would be so annoyed and revolted at them because of their behaviour and their impatience in the desert, but looking to the people of today it the same thing, we might not see it but God does. we need to GO TO GOD because he is the only person that could help us. AND KNOWING HIM IS A REALY BIG AND INPORTANT THING FOR OUR SALVATION, AS WELL AS OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH HIM.

  21. Dear Dona,

This message makes me understand one thing: doing good without Jesus is useless, it's merely for self-exaltation. But doing good deeds with Jesus is what true righteousness is. Jesus is what enables us to do good, our faith and submission in Him.

    Thanks Dona.

  22. Dear Mrs Ester
This is very true because most of the people are just christians because their parents were christians and if I have to be honesty with you Mrs ESTER before I started attending the UCKG I used to be one of those,I used to believe that because my mum was a christian I am also a christaian but now I my eyes are open and I have a totally understanding on what I needed TO DO in oredr to call mayself a child of GOD and I know that if I keep on going the same way people will see with the fruits that will come out of me,WITHOUT SACRIFICE there is no way in,it is never easy because if it was that easy every one will be a child of God

  23. Mrs Ester,
Sad but true, if you ask anyone they will say they are a christain but when you see them on the street or look at there life you can clearly see that they are suffering. We tend to accept they way we use to live because evryone else was in the same boat with the hole. Everyone is a christian until you tell them to stop reveling, fornicating, drunkeness etc but then they say God knows whats in my heart yes he does but knowing that will not help them its our all for Gods all complete surrender if you can not fight your desires how can you fight for your spiritual life.

  24. yes dona we agree,

many people right now they said many people are Christians.

but for us in order to be truly a Christian it requires obedience to God and personal relationship with Him..

It's not all about title but its all about how we live our lives.
