"Give instruction to a wise man and he will be still wiser. Teach a just man and he will increase in learning." Proverbs 9.9A wise man thinks. A wise man is humble.
He is wise because he has invested his reason in wisdom. And above all, into God's divine wisdom.
He is humble because he listens to, learns and practices the Word of God.
A wise thing to have is a hunger for wisdom. Seeking to have this hunger and then to use this hunger(wisdom) is to then become a pearl of wisdom.

It's very easy to act in impulse, out of panic or desperation. I have done that many times before and realised it only worsened the situation. To think clearly before acting upon anything is the best advice I've ever received, 'A wise man thinks...He is wise because he has invested his reason in wisdom'. May God give me a double portion of wisdom. Thank you for sharing this Mrs Ester.

Yes that is true. A wise man is humble bacause he waits for Gods guidance when coming to make decisions. He is able to recognise authority an accept it. Being a wise man, is what we aught to seek. so we do not fall into foolish pits.Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeletebeing wise for many means to know too much but i have always ask myself what would knowing everything benefit you?a perfect example of a wise man i have always imagine or believe is a man like king David ,he was humble and listened to the word of God and that for me is a kind of a man that is wise ,even when he fell into temptation he realized his mistake and humbled him self before the lord ,

It is true that a person who listens or hears the word of God is wise becuase the teaching that are in the word of God bring wisdom and it is true wisdom when one does or put into practice the word of God
ReplyDeleteThe wise are those who can take instruction and correction. they are wise because what they are instructed to do will only improve who they are. We are wise when we take instruction from God. When we do this we can grow much more since we have this wisdom God has given to us.

ReplyDeleteA wise man doesn't just listen but a wise man puts into practice what he has learnt and doesn't keep it to add to his knowledge. Humbleness is always something God loves but yet its so hard to become.

when one is humble, they can clearly think and understand whatever is happening around them, They don't use their emotions but the wisdom given to them. Even when rebuked this person feels no hate but instead they are willing to be obedient and do as they are told.

ReplyDeleteThere were times when i wondered how can i be humble, i thought that humble people couldnt get angry they had to always be nice so that's what i started to do, but one and most important thing was accepting correction, i would act as if i were humble but inside i wouldnt accept correction .i wasnt beeing wise, i learnt that being humble is to reason with God's wisdom rather than be quick to defend yourself and not listen to correction or to the voice of God. thank you
People think hat to be wise is to know a lot of information and be a smart person. But to truly be wise to to listen and obey the vocie of God.

ReplyDeleteA wise and humble person accepts rebuke,correction. Accepting rebuke and correction is when you note your mistake and ask forgiveness from God. A wise person is willing to please God.
