THE PRICE OF OBEDIENCE

"...though He was a Son, yet He learned obedience by the things which He suffered. And having been perfected, He became the author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him..."    Hebrews 5.8-9
Learning obedience has a high price.
If the Son of God, who was an obedient servant, had to pay the price by suffering, then imagine what we must suffer as well.
Denying the will of the flesh to obey the voice of the Holy Spirit hurts. But this is the price of obtaining eternal salvation of the soul.

  4. Amen. Thank you so much for this Mrs.Esther!
Obeying Him is not easy and it requires a sacrifice. Even though it's not easy we need to obey Him if we really want to get our salvation.

  5. I love this verse! And it is tue that we only can ever learn obedience through the things which we suffer. As human flesh, we want to do things in our own way thinking we know what is best, through doing things in God's way and having His understanding we learn obedience even though it is not easy.

    Thank you Mrs Ester

Obedience is better than to sacrifice in order for me to keep my salvation i must obey the voice of God and resist my will.To do that is not easy unless all times I am connected with my God.
    Thank you.

  7. Obedience comes with a price,1 Kings 3:14(NIV)
"And if you walk in obedience to me and keep my decrees and commands as David your father did, I will give you a long life."

When we obey the word of God, we come closer to Him, we draw blessings and we become the light of the world. Keeping in mind that even we as the Church have to be obedient to our Authorities. Imagine a house without obedience! it will be turned upside down.Obedience leads to righteousness.

Amen to that. Being obedience it means you are obeying the laws of God and you are dutyful in every work of God. So the key is to have obedience as an individual. This is something that i can get when i am honest to God, pray and make secrificies... i am also praying for obedience.

  9. It all starts with being determined in being committed to the word of God. When we are committed in obeying God, there's no limit to how God will use us

    Thanks Mrs Ester

  10. Dear Mrs Ester
Obedience is what saul made him to loose the anointing of God he did what he was not suppose to, God wants in us obedience to crucify our own will and do the will of God all the time as the Lord Jesus did.

    Thank You.

  12. Thank you Mrs Ester for the post, it is not easy to obey when our flesh is much stronger than our spiritual life. When we are closer to God we are able to obey His commands, even though it is difficult because this world is full of temptations, but as Christians we have a goal, a target and that is to spend our eternity with our Father and we know in order for us to reach that goal, we have to suffer and deny our fleshly desires.

  13. Dear Mrs Ester,

Actually the price is high we have to pay for our salvation, denying the will of our flesh,is not easy but we have to pay the price.
If our Lord had to pay we have to pay more.
This is the price of our salvation to obey the voice of the Holy Spirit.

    thanks for this word.

  15. Dear Mrs Ester,
I would like to thank you for this blog. Indeed obedience comes with a price the price I have to pay is to deny my flesh and live according to the spirit no matter what I may feel. I have come to realize that the flesh has all to do with the feelings and those who live by feelings are in danger of losing their salvation.
